The service was amazing!
It was also their first year birthday, which coincide with my birthday, and I don’t know about it. They were super nice to give us a ceviche and those little cupcakes with the candle for my birthday. Our servers and bartenders were super friendly and personable. we enjoyed our time definitely gonna be back.
They have a special menu for birthday, which is a great price quality.

Absolutely too pricey, and the food is just ok. The oysters are the only thing that is great - but they are also too expensive.
The room is cool but acoustically it is poorly designed, so it’s very loud.
Two of us got our food while the third member of our party waited and waited. We finally flagged down someone to ask about it and eventually the third meal came (they were not busy at that time).

Don’t go here for Eagles games. It may not be fair, but the Inquirer listed Jaffa as a top place to watch the birds but they won’t turn the volume on for any games that aren’t playoff! (Even though, if they were smart they’d have noticed that HALF the patrons there had Eagles gear on and were watching the game).
Anyway, it’s their restaurant so they can choose the atmosphere they want to promote, but if you’re looking for a good time to watch the Eagles play, you’ll be disappointed if you go here.
And, as far as redo goes, it is t traditional Americana, but rather kosher. So the best thing are the oysters.

Pro: cool building / architecture, very friendly service, the Jaffa orange drink was super yummy, the food was good
But: the food was good, not always great - for a total of $75 pP we were expecting a bit more. It’s quite pricey and several of the dishes did simply not convince us. I’ll come back for a drink in this cute spot, but probably not for food.

Came here for it's opening month but never wrote a review. Great venue and atmosphere, perfect for a date night. The server was very knowledgeable. The Green Eyed Lady cocktail was remarkable. Oysters were delicious.

Awesome crab cake and even better customer service. Outstanding list of oysters; unmatched to the Fishtown region. A must try when in Philadelphia! Local parking, L access and it’s not more than 3 blocks from Berks L line.

Came in today looking for a quick nibble and a beer or so I thought! I literally could not stop ordering. Everything was so delicious. The bartender gave me some recs that did not disappoint! I tried about half the varieties of oysters and boy they were fresh! the aunt dotty was my favorite Briney and sea forward. I also had the tuna pastrami stellar! Finally I got the burger and it’s definitely a fan favorite for a reason. The staff is friendly and knowledgeable I will be returning for the trout! Thanks guys
