We ordered 3 corned beef specials ($11.99 each) which come with Swiss cheese (we subbed American cheese on one) and a nice crisp sliced pickle. Sandwiches were made with Russian dressing on the fresh rye bread then very lean corned beef (not a speck of fat or gristle) then delicious coleslaw and more lean corned beef, Russian dressing and the fresh rye bread lid of the sandwich. Sandwiches are pleasantly generously sized and we all are saving our second half for later. Thankfully...
I love the food here but lately the quality of service is really going down hill. Today I got a sandwich on rye bread, both pieces of bread were different sizes, the mayo was thick and all over the sides of the bread and my favorite part, the pickle was left out. I was very sad.
This is a great place to eat downtown if you don't have time for a lengthy sit down meal and want great deli food. They make terrific sandwiches of all kinds while you wait in line. The corn beef is very fresh as is the bread it comes with. They also offer salads and a variety of soups (literally something for everyone) that are equally delicious (the Italian wedding soup is spot on). The prices are reasonable too. You will come back again and again.
