I was only here cause of the Timeleft event and we cannot pick the restaurant. The food was not good at all. I got a duck fried rice and the quantity was tiny, it has almost no taste to it and not hot at all. If I'm paying $10 it isn't that bad but this fried rice is $20+. Try walking into any place in chinatown and get a fried rice, I can guarantee there is almost no place that can do worse than this.

Disappointed to write this review as Jasmine Rice used to be a stable for take-out Thai (I rarely used to eat there as the décor is so dreadfully drab)... and things have gone downhill. My last 3 experiences have been poor: 1) I order take-out and when I arrived they told me they’d lost power and couldn’t cook. The power outage wasn’t their fault but why did you take my order and/or not call me to make me aware they weren’t making food. My next order included a noodle dish that was SO spicy we couldn't eat it, (and I love hot food). I ordered again a few weeks later and before paying, I let them know about the issue with the noodle dish, only got a gratuitous “sorry about that” when I was paying, no offer to comp one of my dishes. Then our most recent order was our last time, the fried rice was flavorless, the green curry chicken was light on chicken and flavor and didn’t fill the container, and the papaya salad looked like a half-portion. Not sure what’s happened at Jasmine Rice but we’ll see how long they last with so many other Thai food options in center city.

Quiet, tasteful interior, attentive service, very good prepared duck in the pad thai and drunken curry sauce! Papaya salad was spot on. A welcome break from the pricey, noisy, over-the-top dining scene in the area!

Thank you auntie and uncle for today's meal and the free rice you wanted me to try. It was very delicious and comforting. I'll come back again soon! 🫶

I got the Pad Kee Mao, which was not only delicious, but had the proper texture as well. Spice level did not disappoint. Ambiance was small, yet homely. I definitely recommend.

Jasmine rice was phenomenal. The fact that we got 4 seemingly more delicious plates every time the server came out seemed unreal!! I absolutely love this place and will be back!!
Lemongrass soup was delicious

We had lunch there on Friday and everything was delicious. The restaurant is small and the service was great.

Very causal & probably better for takeout considering all of the slightly nicer Thai places in Philly. Prices were reasonable & our server was very kind & attentive. Yummy food but nothing spectacular. Nice neighborhood Thai spot overall!
