Jeni's Splendid Ice Creams

Decent flavors and service, although everything tastes a bit freezer-burned to me. There is a good amount of seating inside and the staff are generally pleasant. Unfortunately they allow people to bring animals inside, which is a health code violation and very inconsiderate for customers who may have animal allergies or not want to deal with aggressive dogs while trying to order and eat food.

Tadashia was the absolute best. It was our first time in and we will definitely be back. She gave us great advice on which flavors to choose.. I am still in disbelief of how good the ice cream was.

Great ice cream and great people

It's possible when they heard ice cream they took it literal because it tasted like I was eating flavored ice, and not the good kind. There's also no reason ice cream should start melting so aggressively after 30 seconds in 72 degree weather, with a cool breeze at night. If you've ever had knock off oreo's at your abuelita's house dunked in milk, you now know what the cookies & cream taste like. I should have just walked the extra 50 minutes to Reading Terminal and waited till 8am to get Bassetts. Employees are lovely though.

Got a half scoop of milky chocolate and a half scoop of darkest chocolate. They were SO delicious! I want more!! It was served with a piece of waffle cone.
When you enter, you are immediately greeted by the smell of fresh waffle cones. The staff were super friendly on a Saturday evening. I didn’t realize this place was so big in the area when I went, but I’m so glad I tried it out. I’d definitely be back when I am in the area!

Probably the same complaint heard often about Jeni's: "$11 for three HALF scoops?!?!" This is not Carvel (no display cases with whale-shaped ice cream cakes - sorry). What you will find is high-quality ice cream with a wide range of flavors. My choices were Tahini Oat Chocolate Cookies, Salted Peanut Butter with Chocolate Flakes and Honey Vanilla. I love a good vanilla ice cream but the flavor was overpowered by my other choices (probably something to keep in mind for next time). I really wish I could give Jeni's 4 stars but a family of four will find it hard to walk out for less than $50. That's worth a one-star deduction - the value proposition is a little too hard to justify.

So nice I had to go twice ?! I really can’t say enough about the quality and the deliciousness of the ice cream. Generous scoops and friendly staff. When I went the first time security was making sure the right number of people went in as to not over crowd the place! Both times I went for the Candy bar which is chocolate, salty caramel and salted peanut butter with chocolate flecks. Absolutely divine! Ugh ? so delicious I finished the whole thing. My friend is gluten free and allergic to chocolate and even she found the selection irresistible. She didn’t get sick from cross contamination so I really appreciate having a place to share with her.
