Small walk-in sandwich shop that serves up big tastes! Their cheese steaks are excellent! While some places rely on their choice of bread to carry their cheese steaks, Jim's West puts it all out there with their meat. The juicy, delicious flavor of every bite reminds you who's the star. They also make a homemade banana pudding that you have to come back for! Don't be off if you see thru the door a lot of ppl squeezed inside waiting. Beside the kitchen area, there's little room but to order and move along with the line to pickup and pay. The employees are really fun and eager to serve, and work hard to keep things going and deliver good food. I'd definitely would return.

I was so excited when they opened back up. Jim's is a go to for a great cheese steak. Never a wait, great customer service and this is definitely one of the best cheesesteaks in Philly. You will not be disappointed!

My family and I vacationed in PA the first week of Aug this year. We were in Upper Darby to visit The Girls Auto Clinic for a tour and to meet the owner (my daughter is currently in an automotive program). When we wrapped up Patrice, the owner, asked if we were hungry and recommended Jim’s West! We were so glad she did. The staff was very welcoming and patient with us while we ordered. The food came out fast and was beyond amazing. We left with happy full bellies and a sadness that Jim’s West fantastic cheesesteaks are a 20.5 hour drive from home.
Keep up your great food y’all. We look forward to the next time we make it out there!

Went this past weekend while visiting from the DC area. Put the sandwiches in refrigerator bags to take back home. This was my third time and this is normally our preferred place for cheesesteaks. Not sure what happened this time but the sandwich was so dry and tasteless I wondered if I had COVID lol. Didn’t taste any cheese even though I certainly ordered it. And the personality of the young lady at the cash register left much to be desired. The other times I’ve gone before this, I had no complaints, our cheesesteaks were always delicious (even days later) and the workers were always pleasant to see and interact with. Very underwhelmed. Hope it’s just a fluke but not sure if I will take the chance and drive out of our way all the way across Philly to find out.

Do not eat here!! I have been a fan of Jims my entire life! This is the worst location by far!! No joke, I spit the cheesesteak out immediately! Gross! Go to Springfield or South Philly locations!!! Waste of money!!!

Took my daughter there today, July 30 Bought three cheesesteaks a lady was cooking. She cooked the steak too fast. It was rubbery and tough. Not good at all today. Any other time when I go the man is cooking. There good. My daughter says she would never go there again. Please take that lady off the grill with the glasses horrible threw half of the steak in the trash, we spent $45 a waste
