They heavy handed with the salt. They should offer keiser rolls for the hamburger ?. As much as they charge you think they get ya order correct, but they always miss something, Their hoagie rolls are not soft.

After reading about the real estate and trademark dispute in the law journal recently I decided to drive to Philly and visit the original Jim’s Steak West from 1939 that predates Jim’s South Street. Cool back story and legal wrangling to resuscitate this business. We enjoyed the neighborhood and the business started to fill up as Church let out with everybody in their Sunday best. Ordered a Philly Cheese Steak, Kosher Hoagie and Banana pudding which was all delicious.

When I arrived, they greeted and took my order right away. As I was waiting in line, another customer came in. The cook knew the customer and greeted them. The cook knew their order. I was impressed. It was clear to me that they value their customers. My cheesesteak was prepared how I requested. The cheesesteak was a good size, seasoned well, and tasted amazing. Definitely will be returning.

Edit: I've had a couple cheesesteaks since with a different guy cooking and it gave poppy store. I'll only order if the first guy who made my steak is there.
