I went with my bf for the Valentine’s Day menu, and we were more than pleased with everything! To our surprise there was only 1 more set of people besides us when we arrived. Nonetheless, the service and the food were AMAZING. We got the 3 course menu as pictured. Overall it is definitely a romantic outing that leaves you thinking just how nice everything was. Only positive experience at Johnnie’s. Northern Italian tends to be a little more peppery than Southern Italian food. I could be wrong about that. Especially enjoyed a cod backed in salt a few years ago. And so reasonable priced just adds to the experience.
This is a hidden place. If you want the old Italian atmosphere without tracking to South Philly this is the place. Food was good service was good. White wine mussels were amazing! Will definitely be going here a lot!
