Great service. The restaurant specializes in French cuisine and is considered one of the best in South Jersey. The food is delicious, but the portions are small, and I left still feeling hungry for the price I paid. Unfortunately, there are no vegetarian options on the menu, not even a salad. You can ask the chef for a vegetarian dish, but they do not tell you what it will be in advance, so you have no idea what you will get.

As I like to say - June is the best French restaurant in Philadelphia... It is of course in NJ but that doesn't stop it from being the best. The chef has worked in French dining most of his career and it shows - complex classics flawlessly executed, new twists on dishes with a flair for creativity. Menu changes frequently but there are always wonders to behold. I was there one time when the table-side burner was not functioning, chef brought out a map blow torch to make our pressed duck, heating the copper sauce pan with that while he chatted - ha freaking awesome. Check them out on Sundays for fixed price, or anytime for a legendary meal. Bring wine!

Sunday tasting menu- food was good, service was not. Sat for quite a bit before server acknowledged us, finally opened our bottle of wine but never poured it, brought us our food courses in the wrong order, we ran out of water that was never refilled, lagged at clearing away dirty dishes, forgot our coffee with dessert, and was basically non-communicative or missing throughout dinner. Chairs were oddly small and uncomfortable…just really not the experience we were expecting (or that we paid for) at all. Pretty disappointing.

Food was excellent. I hesitate to order duck because the breast is often too tough for me to enjoy. I decided to risk it and am glad I did, because the trio of duck was great. Very unpretentious, laid back vibe. Nice but not fancy or formal. I look forward to returning.

Went for a girls night out dinner at my nephews restaurant, JuneBYOB. Since it was our first time, he rolled out the red carpet and did a tasting for our party of four. Everything about this place is first class ….the food, service, ambience..all excellent. Our food was cooked perfectly, beautifully plated, and made with high quality ingredients. It was exceptional from beginning to end. I’ve never eaten French food before, so this was such a great first experience. One of the best meals I have ever eaten, but I knew it would be. I came home raving about it to my husband, who has been wanting to go, so I made another reservation. I plan to become a regular.

We went and opted for the duck for 2 (Tableside). The place was slow the evening we went and the food did not come out quickly. Perhaps because of the wait times we did receive a couple complimentary items. A soup and the Wild Prawn Quenelle. Both were excellent. Both duck items were excellent. We were so full, we took some duck home and even reheated great. Only negative comment would be the Crêpes Suzette alcohol was not burned off enough so it was too boozy which took away from the dessert. We did say, we liked the place/atmosphere but thought it was be a little nicer if it was slightly dimmer in there for ambience but still very nice inside. We do plan to return to try the tasting menu at some point.

I will never go back here. The space is extremely nice. Except for the bathroom, which lacks ventilation. We were the first guests of the evening. I waited for the bathroom for 15 minutes. When the male server left the bathroom it smelled horrific, like he had a digestive problem. Worse yet, I did not hear him wash his hands and there was no used paper towels in the trash can. Our female server was awesome. My appetizer was pedestrian. My fish was a dry piece of leather. I asked for it to be cooked through. I cook my fish through at home and it is moist and tender every time. The male server who was in the bathroom carved the duck and cooked the sauce tableside, which was nice to watch. The duck was just ok, we've had much better elsewhere. Our friend's crepes Suzette tasted like propane. The bill was over $400 for 4 people, obviously without paying for alcohol. This price would have been fine if the meal was worthy. The website touts that the chef worked at the former Le Bec Fin. Our meals didn't come close to our previous visits to Le Bec Fin.
