Stopped by today craving good oxtails, and K & J absolutely delivered. I ordered the medium oxtail platter with okra, cabbage, and mac & cheese — plus a slice each of the pina colada cheesecake and lemon cake.
Service: In and out, no waiting. You order, and your food is ready — like the best kind of fast food experience, but with soul.
Food: Everything was delicious. The oxtails were seasoned just right, tender and flavorful. All the sides were on point—especially the mac & cheese. And those cakes? Rich, moist, and worth every bite.
Value: I paid about $31 and easily got two full servings out of the medium order. Generous portions and great quality for the price.
I’ll definitely be back.

My friend and I called outside the restaurant and was told it would be 20 minutes. My friend went inside in 25 minutes and he was still waiting in the restaurant another forty minutes.
When we arrived home my order: Ox Tails, Collard Greens, Candied Yams and Potato Salad turned out to be… the ox tails were okay, the greens were salty, the yams were not candied and tasted more like Bruce sweet potatoes from the can and my potato salad was an unseasoned potato. I was really disappointed and I will not be returning. I tried my friends cabbage which was very good and seasoned well. Go, figure!!!

This was my first time here a girlfriend of mine told me about it and I'm about 45 minutes outside of the city so I traveled pretty far for the food I'd like to say I'm very seldom complain but I was so very disappointed because I don't eat out anymore often at all because every time I do I'm so disappointed this food was pretty much the same The kingfish was overcooked it was extremely dry and very difficult to swallow and eat and the macaroni and cheese was very overcooked it was unseasoned and very very mushy I'm so disappointed I probably won't go back. Restaurants have to do better people are spending your good hard-earned money and a food was not cheap at all and it wasn't even mediocre it was downright bad.

I spent $24.00 for a large fried whiting platter. The fish was too oily and had the flu smell. Mac and cheese and cabbage was a little better. My first and last time there. Will stick to Ron's.

My husband and I have been coming here for a while, but yesterday when we got jerk chicken and curry chicken we fell ill. Nausea, diarrhea, stomach aches. Obviously the food was somehow contaminated or something. Although this is the first time this happened, it shouldn’t have been a first time.

This place is run by an arrogant employee, who pointed out to me how the restaurant won a non-relevant award "back-in-the-day". I ordered the large curry goat ($25, 9/9/24), and it was dull and boring. They use spices that they must have purchased from the grocery chain, Sav-a-Lot. You cannot make authentic Jamaican food from cheap, dry spices. The large container consisted of 55% rice and beans, 15% collar greens, 15% plain sautéed cabage,15% curry goat for $25. The food is plain and dull.
Parking: They are located right off of Greene St and Chelten Ave behind the library. Parking can be difficult during dinner time.

This was my 2nd visit, and the food was very dry. Mac& cheese was like Velveeta, stew chicken super dry , greens no flavor, cabbage over cooked , I just hate black businesses not doing better but it won’t be a 3rd time.
