Small sushi shop located downtown. They have pretty good sushi for the price and some interesting smoothie selections like lychee.

Extremely nice and accommodating staff. The food was great. Our first time eating teriyaki outside of the PNW and it did not disappoint.

I ordered an Alaska roll, a Philadelphia roll, and a California roll.
They mixed all the rolls with the wasabi and only put a couple of chopsticks in. The chicken was raw. There was hair in the food. We paid $70, gentlemen. $70. How disgusting. I ask the FML and the authorities to inspect this place. We are really shocked by the bad and disgusting service that is happening.

It says it opens at 11am on Saturday, but it doesn’t. We waited and knocked and eventually left.

The restaurant was still closed at 11.05am when the the time of our reservation was 11am, but the restaurant part is they actually reported to OpenTable that we didn't show up.

Food wasn't fresh. Rolls were very small. Tuna roll was dry. The pictures must be very old , this establishment is not what it appears

Kabuki was surprisingly delightful!! When I got the call that it was BYOB for alcohol, I was a little nervous. But then I was grateful that they called so that we could plan accordingly. Then when we pulled up, I was like “where did I pick for us to eat.” As the saying goes “never judge a book by its cover.” Kabuki was AWESOME!! Everything we all had was delicious and the service was fantastic!! I'm definitely going back the next time I'm in Philly!!

I have ordered here once and then after that I could tell that there was no reason to return again, I assume all the positive reviews are from possible tourists or people attending a convention of some sort. I ordered a crab roll and the texture was so off, I could just tell this place cuts corners whenever possible and does not use the best ingredients.

As someone FROM Philadelphia and have gone to several Sushi places in the area, I would simply recommend going to Bubblefish, which is only a couple blocks down and they actually use decent ingredients.

My girlfriend ordered Chicken Hibachi Friend Rice, and I ordered Shrimp and Chicken Udon Soup. We had Seafood Gyoza, and Pork Gyoza for appetizers and Mango Bubble Tea for our drinks. The drinks came first, and it tasted like water mixed with power. I didn’t taste tea. It was also bland, like watered down mango juice. Both Gyozas were actually good. Even though I think it’s frozen gyoza, not house made, it was cooked well —Soft with a crispy bottom. We then witnessed the waitress sneezed into her hand in front of the customers and didn’t sanitize her hands. Unfortunately, when both our meals came, there was a repeated pattern of being bland (not enough salt and umami taste) even though it smelled good.
I’m sad to say that the food and service did not match the beautiful ambience and decor of the restaurant.

Notes to Waitress: Please refrain from sneezes in front of customers, and sneeze into the nook of your elbow. Please use Hand sanitizer or wash your hands to perform hand hygiene after sneezing, even if you don’t feel any particulates coming out. Additionally, please check in with your customers to make sure all is okay. I understand it is a lot of work being a waitress. However, you are the connection between the kitchen and the floor. Checking in with your customers helps you facilitate that experience.

Note to the Chef: The gyoza was yummy. The hibachi fried rice smelled wonderful, but once we tasted it, it was disappointingly bland. Please add more fish sauce, salt, and soy sauce, or spin it how you will. Same with the Udon; it was too bland even for Udon, and slightly too much ground pepper. I could not taste any notes of kombu (seaweed kelp) or anything adjacent in the base. I think scallion garnish will help a lot to brighten the taste after making sure the soup is seasoned properly.

Overall really liked it here! The food was served quickly and correctly (to our order) however the server did forget somethings. The food could stand for a bit more flavor but hit the spot nevertheless. 7/10 would go back again.
