Had Kimberly as my server the service was honestly horrible we were mid of her taking our order and she started to just walk off never asked us how anything was if we needed drink refills nothing she was just ready to give us our check and get us out .

As a Kensington resident, I definitely want to scoop people to all the hot spots in our neighborhood cluster: Kensington (East, Upper, Old), Port Richmond, Harrowgate. I’d have to put Kensington Pub No. 1 for both food and atmosphere.
They have a decently vast menu for a pub, and I believe there’s really not a miss on the menu. Last time out, my wife got the Cod sandwich w/ fries, and I got the Smashburger, w/ fries. As a legit French fry connoisseur, I asked for my crinkle fries to be well-done with no salt, and they delivered them golden and perfectly!
They give you such a big portion of fries that I was in heaven. The smashburger (double) was very good as well; a little thicker than your normal smash patties, but who would complain about that.
My wife thought the portion of her cod sandwich was on the smaller side, but she liked that it wasn’t oily like most cod sandwiches. It also came in 3 pieces, which makes it more difficult to eat opposed to one cod patty.
The atmosphere was dope: When the Phillies, Eagles, Sixers, or Flyers are on, you will get a nice crowd that gives you that traditional Philly feel, with the ambience supporting that. We love the retro pictures of different spots around Philly, and we happened to sit at a table that had a picture of the exact street we live on.
I give Kensington Pub a 10/10 and we will frequent it quite a bit as it’s within walking distance. Most of our neighborhood is if you want to get some exercise in.

I was introduced to this gem by my coworkers for a end of the year party. We sat in the outdoor portion of the pub and had an amazing time. I ordered The Shrimp Nachos with Calamari. IT WAS AMAZING! Every bite of each was maximum deliciousness. Seasoned well and cooked to perfection. My co worker ordered a Feta and Spinach pizza and Cheese Curds. Those were Hella good as well. Service was good but the waitress/server was a little overwhelmed because there were two other parties happening as well. So there was a little wait time to order and then to close our tabs but she was nice. I loved the outside seating area so much but I definitely suggest going on a nice cool day or a wonderful September/October hoodie weather because I was in the heat and I am not heat friendly (lol) but I was having such a good time and enjoy good food it didn't bother me much. I absolutely plan to come back.

Went here one time and will never go here again . There’s two older guys sitting at the bar saying racial slurs to the black couple next to me while the bartender laughs. Let’s just say if you’re not white do not go here they will make you uncomfortable and feel unwelcome .

I went there the other day to eat , tried to use the jukebox and seen I couldn’t find any song I searched for drake , lil Wayne couldn’t find anything like no rap at all, so I asked why some guy who turned out to be the owner Kevin said “we don’t like that black ghetto stuff there’s plenty of other good music on there” I was lost for words didn’t know what to say , and there were black guys in there mind you I’m white. Yeah it’s crazy we still got people like this in 2024 F this place

Sat in there waiting for friends, the owner came up to me and said “ you can’t hang out here” I said what do you mean he said “we don’t want your kind in here”. I’m a black male so I understood exactly what he meant. Go at your own risk
