In town for work and had the most pleasurable solo dining experience ever. Such an amazing team, bartenders, and food. Can't recommend high enough. Jason made an already great experience over the top. Do yourself a favor and go.

Thoroughly enjoyed! I liked the overall atmosphere of the restaurant, good music, good lighting, and great food to pair with that. Highly recommend the swordfish katsu & small plate of scallops!

My recent dining experience at Kensington Quarters showcased truly remarkable service, thanks to our server Hallie and the team. Initially, our evening started on a super disappointing note—it started as “trash” as I told her. We were overlooked as others around us received prompt service. My frustration peaked when informed that the only dietary-appropriate entree I could have was unavailable. However, Hallie's response to our situation transformed the entire experience. Despite the rocky start and her acknowledgement of the lapses in service, Hallie remained incredibly kind and apologetic throughout. Despite the news of the entree being unavailable, Hallie and the team managed to get the fish I could eat by reaching out to a nearby restaurant, even though it was after their closing hours. This level of dedication and exceptional service is rare and was deeply appreciated. It not only salvaged our evening but honestly it also earned Kensington Quarters a customer for life. Hallie and the team’s efforts went above and beyond, reflecting the establishment's commitment to customer satisfaction that is simply unheard of in Philly. An unforgettable experience indeed and I wish I could give them 10 stars.

Top quality seafood restaurant. The oysters from NJ were fantastic.Small menu, but they cooked the fish we ordered pretty close to perfectly.

This may just be one of the best places to enjoy seafood in Philadelphia. Kensington Quarters has a great selection of oysters, all of which are delicious. With a wide variety of fish prepared a miriad of ways, seafood lovers will leave satisfied and delighted in their choice of eatery.A note: One member of our party has difficulty eating out due to health concerns, but Kensington Quarters took great care to make their experience enjoyable and safe. The front and back of house took our friends' dietary restrictions - nut allergy and sodium sensitivity from acute hypertension - as seriously as possible. Upon bringing out our entrées, our server reiterated that the food was prepared in accordance with the restrictions mentioned. Not only that, a member of the staff overheard how delighted our friend was with the specially prepared dish and brought out another portion on the house!

Dietary restrictions: Restrictions and allergies taken very seriously by staff. See review for more detail.

A real gem in the neighborhood. Several great dining options, including a great bar area, an awesome backyard, and an upstairs area. Food is outstanding, and the service is top-notch. To top it off, there's an amazing happy hour!

I’m kind of embarrassed I put off coming here for so long because everything about this meal was fantastic. Order all of the pastas. The oysters are great. The swordfish katsu was delicious and light enough to finish on a hot summer evening. Our server was really good, maybe just a millimeter shy of too much. Wish we got dessert but they all looked really good.

The back porch is amazing! Menu is best for sharing with 2+ people. Every bite is perfection! From the raw items to the large plates, you cannot go wrong! This place should be a Michelin star restaurant!

This is my favorite place in the area. You will want to order everything on the menu and share. The bartenders are as creative and talented as the chef and kitchen staff.

Vegetarian options: There are always great meatless options here.

Great dining experience on the outdoor patio. Service was quick and drinks and food were excellent.

What a joy! I hosted a memorable family gathering at this Fishtown gem, which offers well prepared, fresh and delicious meals cooked to perfection with a fiery grill and wood-burning oven. Though known for fish dishes, KQ offers delicious pasta selections. Not to be overlooked is the ribeye, which was tender and wonderfully seasoned. Appetizers were also superb, and the staff is energetic, attentive and full of personality. The tables are well spaced and the seating is comfortable.

I would recommend this place to anyone who had an affinity for seafood. Fairly nice sized portions, good drink/wine list. However, there are two that I wasn't in love with because of the amount of caraway and Amari - friends with Fred and raspberry beret. We ordered tapas style and got 6 oysters, not listed on the online menu, but prepared very well. Fluke crudo - very tender, though could have done with less olive oil. Little Gem salad, Parisian Gnocchi, especially liked the celery root soubise, and the seared Skate wing - which I felt was the best thing we got. We paired dinner with the favorita and inzolia white.

Always have a great experience here. The food, drinks and service are great, but most recently celebrated a very special occasion here and it was above and beyond. The hostess team and management team worked with me to have some bottles of bubbly as well as some food items ready at the table for our arrival so we could keep the celebration rolling. We were so well taken care of all night and everyone made the experience so special, I wanted to say thank you again for the accommodation and for taking such good care!
