I’m originally from Philadelphia and the “collard green soup” at the South St. location is the best I ever had. Their cooking reminds me of my grandmother cooking in North Carolina. Spicy and garnished with pieces of turkey. RIP KeVen Parker.... you will be missed.

One of me and my boyfriends best spots!!! Everything from food to drinks are always on point! You can never go wrong with adding the sweet potatoes as a side, oh and the collards, oh and the mac and cheese, oh

The chicken was good, the mac was just okay. We waited a long time in line for the catfish and potato salad only to find out they didn't have any. It would be helpful to maybe have a sign of what you're out of so people don't wait so long.

Came here for takeout last weekend and it was DELICIOUS. Very surprised to see their rating on Yelp. Not much of a line (which seems to be the big complaint of most other reviews) so maybe that's why we had such a great experience. We got chicken thigh and leg with mac n cheese and collards. Where to begin...the chicken was just perfect. Oh so crispy with well cooked skin that didn't just slide off the chicken when you bit it. Well seasoned and just great. Didn't need hot sauce or ketchup or anything. Mac N Cheese was great. Not too creamy and still very cheesy. And honestly, I didn't feel ill after eating it which usually happens with Mac n Cheese. Collards were good and my level of spiciness. Not that I can't handle the spice, but I don't like my collards to spicy. Also had crunchy bacon mixed in which was great. Service was quick, people were nice enough. The people in front of us were asking absolutely inane questions and they still were patient with them so I give them credit for that. Price was reasonable and I would definitely recommend you check them out when you're in reading!

This place is AMAZING! Omg those turkey legs are everything! The staff was super nice and explained the options and variety of food ... In addition to the turkey legs , I got Mac and cheese, sweet yams and the sweet tea ! Everything was on point and totally worth the money !!

The food is really good, but why when you ask for a platter you have to pay for one of the sides? There are THREE compartments, so shouldn’t the second side automatically be part of the meal (platter)? I understand the cost of the sides separately from the platter, not the side in a platter.??‍♀️ By the way, the sides have gone up in price but I saw a customer in front of me get a side of yams and the young lady filled the $5.00 bowl with syrup and only 3-4 small size yams. Please get better with your portion size. The cashier was nice.

On Wednesday my husband picked up 3 trays for Christmas dinner which consisted of mac and cheese, collard greens and yams. We also ordered a sweet potato pie. We spent $222.00 on half pans of salty greens, hard yams which stayed in the oven for an hour and a half and mac and cheese we needed to add milk to and cook. The prices are ridiculous for what you are serving your customers and mediocre tasting at best. I don’t mind supporting but you need to do better. I gave 2 stars because after we added the milk to the Mac and cheese and cooked ourselves, it was the only thing that tasted good. Get it together. If you are charging all this money for half of pans, at least make sure everything taste delicious. Do better people

I rarely get off work in time to catch this place before it closes. I made it a point to leave work early to go on day. It was my first time snd I was so excited. I ordered a breast, Mac & Cheese, and greens. I also ordered the whiting as well. My receipt said everything stated above but yams instead of greens. Either way was fine to me. I never checked the order, assuming what was on the receipt was in the bag. It was NOT. I was highly disappointed when I got home. In one platter there was a breast and Mac & cheese. In the other platter was 3 wings and more Mac & cheese. Totally not what I wanted. It was very busy but there were enough people on staff where these mistakes shouldn't happen. It will be awhile before I give them another shot!

Had the breast and mac. So good! Staff is friendly and efficient. A must stop when I visit.

I can't thank Keven Parker -Ms Tootsies enough for the excellent food prepared for my mother's 90th life celebration. The staff was professional and helpful. Mom especially enjoyed the ribs and the flavorful grilled Salmon. The cheesey mac and cheese along with candied yams are essential in my life I first used Keven Parker catering for my daughter's baby shower. Guest still rave over the food served.I didn't worry about running out of food. PLENTY. I'll recommend anyone without hesitation to Ms Tooties. They never disappoint and worth every penny spent.

Service was great but the food was average af. Yams weren't sweet enough. The crab cakes were small but good

This is one of my favorite vendors inside the Reading Terminal Market. The owner has this spot and another one called Ms Tootsie, equally good but it's more of a sit down brunchy type place that I have also reviewed. The food here is amazing, the fried chicken, fried fish and shrimp are made to order fresh. The portions are huge, so be ready. Their side are delicious. I usually get the mac and cheese, yams or greens. They also have a special drink that you must try. Enjoy !

Wish I would review the food, however the disappointment was the sign on the door of hours changing due to COVID however this was not updated on the website. Restaurant does not open until 4pm

The food was tasteless to be honest, the wings didn't have any taste to them and the Mac and cheese was okay, it didn't really have much cheesyness to it, it was somewhat dry. I always see this place in the reading terminal but never really went until today, horrible mistake. It was expensive too, I really wanted to support this place but I just cannot anymore. The cashiers are rude and slow, and has a nasty attitude, I cannot even believed I tipped them. Never again and save your money and go to the Dutch eating place or go to Popeyes! You'll get more food that's actually seasoned and less money being spent!

The wait is long but it's totally worth the wait. A bit disappointed that I ordered the lemon pound cake and it wasn't in my bag but I still wasn't disappointed with my experience. I got shrimp, greens, and mac n cheese and the Mac n cheese alone puts me in heaven. It's refreshing to see this black owned business stay afloat during the pandemic, the customer service was A1, and I will continue to support!
