Food:Place WAS great years ago, then closed down for renovations and changed to all Kosher, literally every meat option is just a fake turkey version except the corned beef.Ordering:I never bothered calling in because they seemed to get confused if you weren't just ordering a menu-specific sandwich as-is.. but walk-in orders would take 30mins+ and even then, they'd goof up orders; explicitly ask for pickles on a sandwich like 6 times but the guy refuses to write anything down and then surprise you don't have pickles..Looks like the locust st. location closed down from health code violations and hopefully this new spot gives them a fresh start... But personally won't go back if it's strictly kosher meats when they re-open, not paying $16 for 3 kinds of turkey

Being a connoisseur of corned beef specials on rye bread I'd have to say on a scale of one to 10,I would give them a three and that's because the bread was good and fresh. The meat was, I don't know if the meat was a little sour tangy but no, it's not the corned beef special that you will get at herschel's down at Reading terminal market. Good try tho ?

The Ruben sandwich is so good, the meat is tender and flavourful, it's been about 8 or 9 years since I had one, but man am I back, and good service as well.

Old man Koch is long gone. Now run by a Pakistani dude. Not a problem in itself since Pakistani food/hospitality is great, but this guy is not about that life. Arrived here on a Fri at 12pm and there's 5 Drexel kids in line with 1 young dude behind the counter. 10 mins later and he hasn't even taken the order or served 1 customer successfully. Real bad sign. Shop has empty shelves. Looks like its one of those run-out-the-lease situations. Might once have been a Philly legend but those days are long passed. Don't waste your time.

Louie Louie Here!!! Absolutely! The Reuben sandwich I just savored was an absolute delight, a symphony of flavors that left me craving for more. Upon first bite, the tender, succulent corned beef melted in my mouth, complemented perfectly by the tangy sauerkraut and creamy Thousand Island dressing, all hugged by the lightly toasted and delicately crispy yet buttery sourdough bread. The generous layer of Swiss cheese added a rich and indulgent note, making this sandwich an unforgettable culinary experience. Without a doubt, it stands out as the best Reuben I have ever had the pleasure of tasting.

Sorry Koch's...been in Philly for over 40 years, have not found ANY deli here that can even begin to compare with Katz's Deli in NYC. Koch's biggest mistakes are that they fry their pastrami, toast the rye bread and don't use deli mustard. I'll keep looking.

It's not a great hoagie. Especially based n the legendary Koch deli. Very light for the price and kind of made backward, meat, and cheese on top on the lettuce and tomatoes. It just sucks that my wife and I wasted our cheat day on an overpriced, no pickle hoagie.

Maaaan let me tell you this is officially my fav hoagie spot I was hankering for a good hoagie so I googled good hoagies and this is one of the places that came up so I got on door dash typed it in and bam every sandwich and hoagie looked good it was a hard choice but I ended up trying the Jewish hoagie it was sooooo delicious everything tasted so fresh from the meats to the bread. I never knew this place existed until today I will definitely order again for sure I’m tell a friend to tell a friend this place is awesome the small places always have the best food they have me as a customer 10/10

The food is delicious! And the prices are fair. I'm disappointed that they no longer care of a deal pickle.
