What I’m about to say is very important about this establishment.

3 years ago I came to korshak bagel (what this place used to be) amidst the hype and I wasn’t as astonished for multiple reasons which I won’t mention, it was very good but not the best despite other view points. I removed my review to make a new one here.

This place is extremely good if not better than the previous management. The ingredients are more fresh and the bagels have a much better outer texture. It’s a shame people follow hype and I don’t see lines outside this shop the way the previous one did. But overall this spot is now just going be lowkey and at least it’s good there are no lines so we can be in and out, sometimes the previous hype made the previous owners over burn the bagels. That’s not a problem here.

Great work

Super delicious bagel sandwiches. We had the BLT and the Veggie Delight, both were fantastic. The coffee is excellent too!

I really wanted to like this place since great bagels are hard to find in Philly! They had no non-dairy cream cheese, which is a bit strange and unfortunate, so I ordered avocado instead. After I paid, the staff member told me they had no avocado. There was no other spread I could put on my bagel. The staff member said he would have to contact his manager later on to refund me because he didn't know how to do it - a situation I've never encountered before! As expected, a week later I still haven't received a refund for my order.

Dietary restrictions: No good vegan options. No non-dairy cream cheese. They were also out of avocado.

It's almost difficult to even give a review of the food because the whole process is just not very human. There was a very nice guy working and he was the best part of the experience, but there's no seating, and you have to order on a computer screen and go through the annoying process of putting in your phone number and blah blah blah. Just not really how I want to go about enjoying eating food.

From a New Jersey Bagel Snob - Best bagel in town by FAR. From the bagel itself, to the amount of seeds on every bagel, to the quality of those seeds, you’ll be hard pressed to find a bagel this good in Philly, New Jersey or New York. My go to is the simple and elegant everything with plain or scallion cream cheese.

This is a review for the new bagel shop, slice & schmear. Finally philly has a bagel shop that can hold it's own against nyc offerings. It's the best bagel in town and it's not particularly close. Best chew on a bagel you'll find anywhere in town. The sandwiches also just have that extra something special in addition to excellent basic ingredients. Also once you have an open faced lox bagel you'll never go back. It stays together much better and is way easier to share! I also highly recommend the cheddar or cheddar jalapeño bagels, they have perfectly cooked exteriors.

Tasty and quick service w friendly people, however there was some metal thing in my bagel sandwich (in first picture) I bit into which they should be more careful of in the future - especially for younger kids and older people.

Super nice people here and a cool shop, but the bagels are not good. Many, many better options in the city. For one thing, their sesame bagel does not have toasted sesame seeds on it. Toasted sesame seeds are what make the sesame bagel so good. An easy fix though!

And the bagel crust is often too "tough" for lack of a better word. Just not good bagels at this shop.

5 stars though to the nice people who work here though : )
