Loved it! Everything was delicious, especially the savory egg tart: scrambled eggs with cheese inside super crispy and flaky pie crust. Just perfectly executed. The jasmine donut was also lovely: not-too-sweet, pillowy soft.

I hadn’t been here in about 1.5. Years, and returned recently for one of their famous donuts. To my surprise, it seems they may have changed the recipe. What I got was almost like a dinner roll filled with custard.
In the past, the donut dough was dense but soft and spongy. I was very disappointed to get a dinner-roll type of bread dough.

I placed an online order and never received it. After weeks of contacting this bakery for an update (email, phone, leaving voicemails) and getting no response, I began to process a fraud charge through my bank. I suddenly heard back via a text the next day stating they had a system error and would refund my order immediately, and to make it right, still send my order free of charge. Ok sure, it was well past the birthday I ordered it for and I understand mistakes happen. After all of that, they never kept their word and sent the order, the refund was processed almost a month later.

Just got all the holiday special donuts and was so disappointed with them. The flavors were lackluster or just not good. The donut tastes more like a Portuguese roll rather than a donut. The glaze had way too much gelatin in it so it was weird and chewy icing. And last but least important was they didn’t look like the picture they posted on their website so it was a mystery each donut flavor.

I liked this bakery. It was nice to try something different. Loved the guava donut! There was a passion fruit cake thing that was also delicious. The savory goods also delivered. I'd go back.

What a charming little bakery with an incredible selection of treats! We stumbled upon Koulet while taking a stroll after brunch and couldn’t resist stepping in for some dessert.

We tried the chocolate and carrot cake, custard-filled pastries, and a passion fruit dessert — everything was absolutely delightful. The best part? Nothing was overly sweet; each item had just the right balance of flavor and sweetness. We also grabbed a coffee and a latte for the road, both of which were great.

We’re already looking forward to coming back for more!

Amazing bakery on Passyunk that you have to try! I really loved the cake roll, it’s absolutely delicious. The sourdough doughnuts are a nice change of pace from standard American fare, and they come in a variety of flavors. I got the standard vanilla creme which was good. They also sell some small butter cookies with guava jam in little sealed bags, which were exceptional! Definitely coming back soon.
