It was pretty authentic as a hong kong style egg waffle you can find in Philly! I liked the fact that you can customize your own egg waffle from its batter to toppings and then the sauce to add. The waffle batter was not over sweetened so that all the other add-ons were harmonious with it! Only one thing I wished to improve from here is to have much more crunchy texture for the waffle itself! Portion size was not too small but also not to big. Kitchen and dining areas were clean & neat, but the space was not too large and max can dine-in around 12 people.
Lovely dessert spot with generous portions in the heart of Chinatown. I made my own bubble waffle, which was a better value than the pre-made waffles. I haven't tried their other desserts yet, but their bubble waffles are pretty big so sharing is recommended.
The food was great and very good. The only problem was how long it took to get the food. It took the staff 30mins to finish making 3 orders and the store was empty. The employees kept looking on there phones without finishing my order
Such a cute spot! They have so many unique dessert offering. We tried their Ube Ube and the Durian Black Glutinous Rice dessert and both were pretty good! Their staff is also lovely.
Such a tasty and creative dessert! The bubble waffle is best fresh; crispy on the thinner parts and edges, and soft in the middle of the “bubble.”Would recommend choosing any of their pre-set menu items; whichever flavor you like best!Cute interior with a clean bathroom.
The staffs here gossip behind your back no matter if you buy something or not. The second time I came here, we order a dessert and then ask for a cup of water because it was too sweet, not knowing we understood Mandarin, they said behind our back that they should start charging for water. This time I came, they also assumed that we didn’t speak Mandarin, the shop was quite empty so I took a phone call and sat down after knowing they don’t have what I wanted, I do admit it took me a while to order bc the phone call was a bit upsetting, but I saw that it was not busy so I took my time, I did eventually order, but the thing they said behind our back was horrible. Purposely turn the music louder so I couldn’t hear on my phone, complaining about us being loud. If I was too loud or if I need to order quickly, they could come up to us a remind us and I would respect them. The way they disrespect customers made me had a horrible experience here.
For all dessert lovers who's always asking for less sugar - this is the place. I love how nothing is too sweet. There's alot of nice seating options for bar stools to tables. It is quick service and everyone is very kind. The boba though needs more sweetness for me personally. Everything else I love and well balanced!!!
Friendly staff and delicious off the beaten path desserts. If you want to try something different than the same old choices Kulu has many new tastes to titillate your palate and keep you coming back to try more.
The food was so yum and the staff was so sweet. The cute girl that had on a white hat toke my order was super sweet and super welcoming.I would very much recommend the sesame bubble wrap so yummmm :p

Finally I dont have to drive to Edison, Nj to try this place out. Been wanting to try out their bubble waffle and see how it tastes.Their bubble waffle texture is surprisingly not bad. I don’t like those that are soggy inside. They make theirs semi crunchy, good enough. I will go back for them. I was looking more of HK style egg bubble waffles where it has stronger egg taste. Now with their drinks. I believe this place are more specialize on their dessert more than their milk tea drinks. I bought a classic milk tea for my dad, which he thinks it tastes a bit weird and unlike regular milk tea. I got the red bean milk tea, which felt the same way. And their red beans aren’t soft enough. I also got a grass jelly milk tea to go for tomorrow. I think other milk tea places might serve betters. Their drinks only comes in 24oz. Not sure if that’s a good or bad thing. Some people might want to order small instead of a large. Or I guess you just split it yourself. One down side is the parking. Because it is located in Chinatown, you gotta look for parking. I went around twice to be able to street park about 2 blocks down.I probably would wanna stop by again to try out their desserts collections. Can’t wait.
First, the flavors were plain, cannot tell whether they were taro ball or herbal jelly because they tasted like nothing. Second, those were not regular size taro balls, they were extra mini size. Last, the egg waffle was bad, dry and not bouncy, the recipe need to improved. Overall, would not recommend!
Got the mixed fruit tea with 50% sweetness, and it just tasted like sugar water.
So good!!! Highly recommend!!!
Such a cute spot and very nice vibes. I went to the grand opening and it was packed. There was a lion dance happening as well. It’s super convenient because I could either order at the counter with a cashier or through one of the tablets. I got the ube ube and it was delicious. The Ube ice cream wasn’t super sweet and paired so well with the waffle. The mango and Mochi that were in it added a great kick/texture. There is so much variety in terms of desserts and drinks. Would definitely visit again to try them all!
