Revolving sushi bar service is kinda depends on where you sit if its good. Honestly fine and had a nice experience besides when me and my Muslim friend asked for refills they accidentally swapped our glasses. Normally that'd be kinda fine, but they really should've just given us new glasses because I drank Alcohol and felt bad that happened even though it wasn't my fault.

Kura is the biggest chain of conveyor belt sushi restaurants in Japan and we're lucky to have one in Philly. I first went to one in Tokyo and the experience is pretty identical. Only difference being a menu that caters a little more to Americans, which for me was an improvement. I love sushi but my wife can be a little pickier so it's nice to have more comfy American options.

My so and I tried the revolving sushi spot on Chestnut Street in Philadelphia, and it was definitely a fun experience. The concept is simple but entertaining—sushi plates come around on a conveyor belt, and you just grab what you like. Drinks are served by a robot, which adds a cool, futuristic touch.
Each plate is $3.75, and there’s a reward system where you get a prize at 15 plates and another at 25. It makes dining feel playful, though it also makes you more aware of how much you’ve eaten. We ended up with 28 plates plus a chicken ramen, which was surprisingly good, and the total came to around $125 for two people.
The sushi itself was fine—not the best in the city, but good enough for the experience. Overall, it’s more about the novelty and fun atmosphere than gourmet quality. For me, it’s a one-time try, but if you like interactive dining, it’s worth checking out at least once.

I had no idea the United States had a sushi go-round(or a revolving sushi bar), and now that I know that Kura Sushi is here in the states, I will make it my goal to come back. The sushi here was much better than the sushi I have had in Arkansas at dedicated sushi restaurants, and that is all due to the fact that somehow, the sushi here is incredibly fresh. Honestly, I don't know what to write in this review except that everything about this restaurant is great. The service, the sushi, the fact that your food comes to you on a conveyor belt, what more could you want? My favorite was definitely the seared steak and seared eel sushi. It was phenomenal, and introduced me to my new favorite sushi!

I'm not sure what happened to this place, 2 years ago, it was amazing, the food was good, the fish was the correct temperature and the rice was the correct temperature, now everything that comes out of the kitchen is cold as in ice cold. the rice is too hot. it's not quality anymore.
It's almost like everything they have now is just stored in a freezer and taken out to be used.
I used to look forward to coming here. I no longer do and I do not think I will be coming back anytime soon.

$3.75 each plate. stopped by for lunch. large restaurant with revolving sushi bar. I wouldn't say quality of sushi was the best but it wasn't bad either, it was good enough for the price. Friendly wait staff. You can order drink either through tablet attached to your table or through the waiter. If you don't see anything you like or what you want is missing from the revolving belt, you can order through tablet. It was kind of fun experience to wait for various kind of sushi/desert/rolls to come through the belt and you grab what you like. Advantage was that you can try many different items from entree to desert since you just grab what you like as opposed to having to order certain things from the traditional menu. no time limit. I would recommend and I would definitely come back.

It had been a while since we visited a revolving sushi restaurant, and the concept here is quite interesting. You can either order from a tablet or scan a QR code at your table, or you can grab items directly from the conveyor belt as they pass by. While we didn't take anything from the revolving belt, it was great to see what the different dishes looked like. Our orders were delivered directly to our table via an upper conveyer system, and drinks were brought out by a robot! If we needed anything else, we could request a human staff member through the app.
The food was good, and they have some unique preparations and specials. We went for lunch, so the fact that they don't serve alcohol was fine, but we probably wouldn't go for dinner for that reason. The restaurant is definitely family-friendly and a huge hit with kids.

Great place and great food. Excellent way to try new flavors of sushi you might not be sure about. The little plates make it low stake.

We had so much fun at Kura! The atmosphere and service was great, and we enjoyed the selection of food they had. Wish they had a few more vegetarian friendly options like an avocado or sweet potato roll. Will definitely return the next time I’m in Philadelphia

Kura Revolving Sushi Bar offers a fun and interactive dining experience that’s perfect for sushi lovers and anyone who enjoys trying a variety of dishes. The setup is unique—plates of sushi and appetizers continuously pass by on a conveyor belt, giving you the freedom to grab whatever catches your eye. The atmosphere is modern and inviting, with cozy booths, bright lighting, and an efficient ordering system through the tablet at each table.
The sushi itself is fresh and well-presented. The variety is impressive, from classic nigiri and sashimi to creative specialty rolls and side dishes like crispy fries and garlic ponzu sashimi. The salmon roe sushi was brimming with flavor, and the crispy tempura-style roll had a satisfying crunch. Prices are per plate, making it easy to try many different options without committing to large portions. We ended up enjoying 30 plates of sushi along with drinks and sides, which brought our total to $147.85 for the table, including tax.
One of the highlights is the “Bikkura Pon” system, where every five plates you deposit earn you a shot at a capsule toy prize, adding a playful twist to the meal. Service is quick, and food ordered via tablet arrives swiftly on a separate express conveyor. Overall, Kura is an excellent choice for a casual meal that’s both tasty and entertaining, especially if you’re dining with friends or family.

Love the concept, but extremely disappointed in the actual experience. We came in around 3, grabbed a couple plates, and then watched as empty containers passed by. Before you ask if other tables grabbed them: I could see them come out empty from the kitchen.
When a SINGLE umami cucumber salad came out 45 minutes into waiting, the table that was just sat in a spot ahead of us on the conveyer snagged it. 45 minutes waiting, then the only one they sent out was gone.
We left immediately after. Extremely disappointed for our first (and possibly only) trip.
