Essential Philly coffee spot, great before work or as a tourist to check out downtown. Philly's Starbucks equivalent and better in every way in my opinion.

For the price the $6 12 oz pour over was very disappointing in terms of quality. Maybe it was the staff feeling rushed in the morning but wouldn’t recommend

I don't usually leave a negative comment, but this time I had to. I've been coming to this location for about a year now. Paul has waited on me a few times, he's very rude and unprofessional. He speaks to me like I'm a child, that's on a good day. Other days he yells. Another customer over heard how he was speaking to me and said oh that's Paul he's harmless. If you ask me I think he was high. Last week he was in an argument with a lady and he told her to get out and locked the door behind her. We all just watched, it was very uncomfortable. I don't think I'll be coming back anymore.

Very good place to drink coffee in the morning, the staff serves quickly so that the long snaking queue is quickly passed. The taste of the coffee is world class, the view of Philadelphia city hall. recommended place

I remember where I was when I had my first cup of coffee. I was nine years old and on an overnight train heading East from Berlin. My mother was missing and my father was slumped over in his seat, the laudanum having kicked in shortly after we left the brick and glass monster of a station. The rattling rail car, one of the old GDR builds, was the kind where the toilet had no running water, just a trap door onto the endless rail below.A bear of a man man opened the door, peering in through eyes barely peeking out over the bird's nest of a beard, and saw my father, unconscious, ensconced in some unknowable bliss, and then turned to me. Kofe? He grumbled at me, I nodded yes, silent, not knowing what he meant. He took the mark notes from my small hand and passed me back a steaming cup of a brown liquid.I sniffed and recoiled, like a cat sniffing at the sour notes of a citrus fruit. I turned to hand it back to the old man but he was gone. I was left alone, trundling aloneinto an undiscovered country, kept company only by an unconscious failure and a cup of coffee.Anyway this place has a nice view of City Hall and the coffee is good. Nice place to bring tourists.

I expected more from an artisanal coffee place. Don’t like sitting down for a coffee from a takeaway cup either!

Ham and Gruyère croissant was awesome. Very airy with plenty of ham and cheese. Hot Americano with oat milk was stellar as well.
This was my first time here and I loved it so much I visited 2 times in my trip. Staff was very friendly and helpful when I was ordering and ensured I ordered the perfect drink for myself. I can't wait to visit again!

My 7 year old: "this hot cocoa is not nearly as good as at knockbox. It's not good at all. I would rather drink water." and they left their hot sugary drink unfinished and asked to leave. They're not wrong.
