Terrible Experience - Do Not Recommend
I had an incredibly disappointing experience at this restaurant. I paid over $600, expecting a nice celebration, but it turned into a complete waste of money and time. The food was absolutely terrible—lackluster, tasteless, and poorly prepared. For me ended up with food poisoning, and others complained of stomach pain afterward, which ruined our evening entirely.
To make matters worse, the cleanliness was appalling. The toilets were disgusting and unhygienic (see attached photo), and the tables and floors were dirty and poorly maintained. It was an unpleasant environment that only added to our disappointment.
I would strongly advise against dining here. Save your money, health, and your evening. Truly a terrible experience.
Brunch was exquisite. Lamb and gnocchi with rabbit were favorite dishes. Prime rib and duck were also delicious. Raw bar was well worth it with the caviar.
Just an amazing venue of food and great service above and beyond. Expensive but worth every penny
Lacroix is a beautiful restaurant located on the second floor of the Rittenhouse hotel. We had drinks and appetizers at Bar 210 within the restaurant one day as well as breakfast one morning in the main dining room during our weekend stay at the property. The food was great, and the service was excellent during both of our visits!
The food is nothing like it once was, the kitchen was dirty in particular the floor and the pastry chef should be immediately replaced. Desserts were not worth a bite. Extremely disappointed.
One and done, did the four course offering which was $115 per person. It was supposed to be fine dining everything was luke warm. Service was ok, very long between offerings. The meat was also warm to cold with 2 pieces of meat about the size of a silver dollar. I guess a tasting menu means you get nothing and pay more. Better choices in the city. Should have went to ruth chris, I know what I am getting there.
We’ve been here for brunch several times. The most recent occasion was to celebrate my daughter getting through open-heart surgery. I’m not sure what else they could have done to make this day so super special for her. They were so wonderful to her and making her so excited by giving her the tour of all the food. She felt like a queen for sure.
For us, it was amazing as always. The staff from the servers to the front desk to the chefs in the back… everybody is warm and friendly.
As for the food, they never fail in that department. The brunch service is technically a buffet style, but this is totally next level. While you can certainly help yourself to some standards like bacon or eggs or bagels, there is a plethora of food to experiment with. There are items that I’m sure you have never had. It’s so much fun to try so many different things. And if you are a person who loves dessert like myself, there is an entire dessert section and a pastry chef devoted to customizing a dessert for you. What I mean by that is the most recent visit had a chef who was making Custom cannolis. You got to choose what kind of filling and toppings and all of that. Other times that I’ve been there it was someone making liquid nitrogen ice cream.
Either way, you’re gonna have a blast. Don’t miss out on a truly unique experience.
I visited during restaurant week, and the experience was great. The menu was 3 courses (appetizer, entree, dessert), which were also accompanied by complimentary bread & butter that was delicious. The appetizer course was a great, light start to the meal. We ordered the risotto potatoes (8/10) and the fazzoletti (9/10). We ordered the strip steak (9/10) and lobster (8/10), which were also delicious. Lastly, for the dessert course we ordered the apple crumble (9/10) and the chocolate mousse (7/10). The apple crumble dessert was the most impressive dish - the taste of the Fall/Winter season was brought through in every bite. In addition to the restaurant week courses, we ordered the restaurants wagyu accompaniment ($80 additional total), which was composed of a wagyu tartare (9/10) and 2 amazing pieces of seared wagyu that melted the second you ate them. The service was also spectacular and the staff were friendly and accommodating. Overall, this was one of our favorite food experiences.
Worst experience I've ever had. Food so disappointing. In fact terrible. Had to go through kitchen to get to slicing station and desserts. Very weird. $500 for 3 people. $90 tip added even though it was a buffet and the waiter removed 3 plates once. To top it off we were charged $7.00 because they OFFERED to take our coats. Save you money and go to the Continental diner.
Food was cold. Up scale continental hotel breakfast. Was honestly just sad. If you get the old guy waiter like we did your going to pray anyone else comes around instead. I would never recommend this place again to anyone. Much better food in phil. Take an uber and enjoy.

Terrible. This restaurant is not what it used to be. We were expecting a five star experience ( would have settled for four) but instead was very disappointed.
To be honest, there is no excuse for a restaurant who charges so much to deliver so little.
Get it together !
The one positive note was our waiter.
The service was good along with the food, solid choice if you're in the city and looking for a place not that crowded for brunch.
If Philadelphia is the destination, Lacroix is a must! Highly recommend the tasting menu for first time visitors. The food is delicious and the service has always been 5 stars for my husband and I.
The food, service, and ambience of this restaurant are second to none. We had an amazing dinner. Compliments to the chef and the wonderful staff. Michelin star worthy !!!
Worst high end meal experience I’ve ever had. Shocking to be honest. Got the tasting menu and wine paring which by the way costs $500 per couple. Half way through the entire meal they forgot about us, no food came out for 30 minutes. When food did arrive they skipped over dishes and had the entire pairing so messed up that we were getting dessert with wine from 2 dishes ago. This was an anniversary dinner and they totally bombed our meal. Never will go back. They comped our meal but anybody willing to spend $500 for dinner isn’t looking for a free meal, I wanted a 4 star experience. This restaurant is all hype and no delivery. They should read the book “unreasonable hospitality” and learn what a good dining experience should be. I get better service at Applebees.
