The karaoke is really bad. Acoustically speaking the system is like 30 year old. Lots of noise and very dry. The base fare is 100 per hour which is frankly a plain robbery. The waitress is also rude and unprofessional. Refusing to take our food order near the end of the section and provide no service at all. Also mandatory 20% tip. Beside all these, they just kick us out before the session ended. It is amazed to see how bad this place is. Avoid this place at all cost when you can. One only have so much karaoke time in one’s life. Don’t ruin your night at place like this.

Parking : Street parking or small parking lots located around the area.Payment Process: I called and reserved over the phone, you’ll need to put card info down in case you cancel last minute.Price : for an 8 person room I was told $70 per hour, minimum 2 hours. The next room up is a 15 person room with a 3 (4?) hour minimum and that is about $400, from what I was told over the phone. Definitely call to check the rates!Organized a small Birthday here with 6 people in an room that said 9 (though I was told maximum occupancy was as 8)There is an large bar area right in front of the rooms with a very large stage. Looks really fun!Other than that and the kitchen being closed for remodeling (as of September 2023) - the service was great! Room was clean with its own bathroom and AC unit - you’re gonna need it! I was a little worried it was cold but when everyone’s singing and dancing it warms up !They said we could bring our own food since the kitchen is down which was great! They also provided water and microphone covers. Our room even had maracas which was very helpful for our friends who were too shy to sing in the beginning. The TVs are fixed to whatever is programmed into the wall tablet so limited song choices. In Houston they’ve switched to smart tvs that can airplay YouTube. Still super fun! This was everyone’s first time here ! We are definitely coming back!

I used to absolutely love this place. I think it's the best Karaoke place in Philadelphia if you're with a small group. However, I used to go here all the time in college around 2019 with 10+ people, but I recently had a bunch of friends drive over an hour here to visit and go to karaoke, but they wouldn't let us in with more than 5 people unless we rented a room, but we had 6 and just wanted to go to the main stage because being in a room wouldn't be significantly different than just hanging out at someone's house and singing. We love going on stage. One of the other reviews mentioned this issue as well, and part of me understands that with a huge group it might be difficult to ensure everyone gets a chance to sing, but I don't understand how it's any different from 2 groups showing up separately, or if you make friends at the bar? We had to try a few other places for karaoke that night and none of them were any good, so we just went to a bar.If it was before this experience I'd gladly give Lair KTV a 5 star review but if this policy stays I have no idea if I'll ever be able to go back and enjoy my time here again.

Do not go here!! Very unwelcoming feeling, when we walked in to go to the bar lounge and karaoke we were told it was closed at 9 pm on a Saturday night , I said oh really I just called she said it was open, he said oh ok and let us in. We walked into bar and again very unwelcoming feeling the bartender said that the bar does not let more then groups of 5 in the bar, we were 6 and the place was completely empty!!! No one else was in there!!I guess this place does not want business or we were discriminated against, I’m not sure but that policy makes no sense, it makes sense for the private karaoke rooms but not for the bar lounge how do they know who is a group and who is not. I’ve never heard of a number of people per group allowed in a bar, very strange!!!

Had a last minute party of 7 wanting to do karaoke and with the about $140 spending minimum, for a 2 hour session. You do hit that minimum with a bottle of alcohol and some chasers. Good value!

Fancy place, but the guard was a bit excessive and the karaoke couldn't play from YouTube so we were stuck with the small quantity of songs

This place is crazy. The security guard gave my friend a pat down that TCA wouldn’t have even done. It was insanely overpriced and the song selection sucked. Do not go here.

This place does not care about the constitution or the right to conceal carry given to me by the state of Pennsylvania. Security was rude and unhelpful. Will not be back. Rather be safe then sorry. Must be some really shady characters walking through these doors…
