I used to really like Ginger Cafe, but they have completely lost their uniqueness. The food quality has dropped at least tenfold — I’ve been there four times, and this last visit was definitely my last. We placed our order, and only after waiting were we told that they ran out of rice. The funniest (and most annoying) part is that the rice still showed up on the bill — they didn’t even bother to remove it. The only reason I’m giving one star is because the staff were polite. If they hadn’t been, I would’ve given minus five stars.

We came here when they first opened - it was really something unique and special then. Now, it tastes mostly unmemorable and they removed a lot of very solid menu items, like sushi. Plus this miso salmon was a far cry from the amazing flavor that we had earlier.
Also, they kept being out of signature items (manty, rice!) and then we even saw them try to charge us for food they were out of on the bill

Ginger has truly WOWED us. From the outside, you’d never guess what awaits inside — a modern, sleek, and beautifully designed space.
The highlights of the meal were the Eggplant Salad, Soft Beef Cheeks (yes, cheeks!), and Beef Stroganoff. The eggplant salad was actually recommended by the chef — we almost passed on it, but I’m so glad we didn’t! It was inhaled in seconds! The beef cheek — a first for us — was incredibly juicy and tender. And the beef stroganoff was a standout: filet mignon with pickled vegetables in a creamy white sauce, served over mashed potatoes. Chef’s kiss!

The atmosphere was warm and welcoming, and our waitress was incredibly kind and personable. Food was delicious, drinks cold and refreshing. Every detail felt thoughtful, truly a night to remember. The guests unfamiliar with Ginger raved about it. Highly recommend!

Nice atmosphere, well decorated. The food is good and menu is interesting. I would describe menu as a fusion of Uzbek food, French and a slight hint of steak house. Owner greeted us to nice ginger samples with detailed explanation of how they made it, which added a personal touch. Cheese cake was very good.

Great atmosphere and staff but food is disappointing from multiple visits that we have had here.
After we notified that food was sub prime, head chef came out and asked us what was wrong with the food. After we explained that food simply did not taste good he told us that our food preference was the issue. Disappointing chef! Servers are great tho!

My friend and I came here on a whim and we were pleasantly surprised. I ordered the skirt steak and corn and my friend ordered the beef stroganoff for entrees. Both were delicious. And the cheesecake was excellent. We’ll be returning for date night with our husbands!

Five of us thoroughly enjoyed an amazing dinner at Ginger this evening. The appetizers and main courses were all delicious, especially the eggplant, seafood, and the Filet mignon. Dessert was beyond incredible. The wait staff were very attentive, polite, and professional. The chef owner interacted with us to ensure our satifaction. It was a great evening surrounded by great food and great people. He is an impressive young man. This is a reasonably priced BYOB that serves some of the most superior food in the Phila and metro area. I agree with Craig le Ban's high rating. Thank you for everything. We will be back again and again.
