Had dinner at La Scala's Fire on Saturday night, 4 grandparents with an 18 month old grandchild. It seemed like the waitstaff was short-staffed and trying their best to keep up. Our waitress did a fantastic job! We asked her to put a kid's pizza in immediately, as our little guy was very hungry, and she did and had it to our table very fast! That allowed us the luxury of taking our time to enjoy our delicious dinner leisurely with a happy young man. We had the calamari and the beet salad for appetizers and a chicken parm, a chicken parm sandwich, (the bargain of the evening!) veal Marsala and pasta with spinach and cannellini bean (for the vegan) for dinner. The food was delicious and plentiful without being overwhelming. There was very little left over with nary a complaint! We used to come to La Scala frequently before covid and kind of forgot about it because we rarely come into Philly for dinner. Was thrilled to find it again and we will definitely come back!
Outstanding. Flavor, portion and pricing.

I've been to LaScala many times and always enjoy the experience. Good food, good service and the employees are so nice.
Had a little trouble finding our waitress in the beginning. We said we needed a minute she came over almost 20 minutes later. After that she was very good with our service. Very pleasant and professional. Restaurant was clean, nice clientele bathroom was immaculate. Very nice that our Walnut Street discount card was accepted. Definitely be back
My friend and I have been eating here before we see a show at The Walnut Street Theater for years. Lately I've been meeting people for lunch and enjoying the same things on the menu. They have a Happy Hour, sports on big screens, and a quieter dining area. I often see groups of women here and it's in a good location if you're taking public transportation. Enjoy!
Susi made THE BEST expresso martini I have ever had. I and coming back just for that. Melanie was soooo nice, luv her!!! They made a great team

Had such a great experience at LaScala’s Fire! Our server Natalie was amazing — super friendly, attentive, and made us feel right at home. She gave great recommendations, and everything we ordered was delicious. The food came out hot and fresh, and the whole vibe of the place was awesome — fun atmosphere but still relaxed.
Natalie really went above and beyond and made the night even better. If you go, definitely ask for her — she’ll take great care of you!

Service was decent. Forgot my soup and extra dressing that I ordered. Entrees were very good especially the Vodka Sauce on the Rigatoni. Nice people. Better Italian music playing would be nice. More pictures of Italy would be nice too.
The Italian-American dishes here are packed with flavor, and the setting is perfect for anything from a date night to a family dinner. I always leave happy and full.

Food was good but the servers came to our table many times and kept trying to take the food I was still eating.

We called two hours ahead for a reservation for our party of 18, and we were told it would not be a problem. When we arrived, 10 people in our group were seated, but the remaining 8 had to wait nearly 50 minutes before being sat. Once we were finally all together, we ordered immediately, but still had to wait an unreasonable amount of time for our food to arrive. On top of that, dishes came out at different times, so some of us were finished eating while others were just getting served.
For a group that planned ahead, the service was disorganized, slow, and very disappointing. The server was sweet and did her best, but it was obvious she was given more than she could handle. It honestly felt like there were only three people running the entire restaurant. The food itself was good, but it was not worth the hassle, the wait, and the lack of preparation. To top everything off we ordered a birthday dessert under the idea of it being complimentary. You know like all birthday desserts and then It was added to our ticket. Who charges for a birthday dessert?
This was not the experience we expected, and it left us frustrated instead of satisfied.

While this is not "white tablecloth " dining, the food is good for your typical Italian dishes.
While our server was up front about being new, she did not step up. When a beer was requested, it was delivered without a glass. When asked for a glass, it took upwards of 20 minutes and two requests to get one. She was not well aquainted with the menu, but worked thru special requests adequately. Further, our server's runner (a grey-haired gentleman) was visibly cranky and took it out during service. He became confused at whose dish was whose and his irritability clearly increased. The food was quite good and all of our group enjoyed the meal itself.
This place is a gem! Nick at the bar is wonderful and welcoming. The food is fantastic and the restaurant itself is sparkling clean. Recommended.
