This is a HotPot restaurant near UPenn. It seems they have recently changed to an unlimited refill concept. I used it during dinner time, and it costs $30 per person if you only use the unlimited Hotpot, and $35 per person if you use the Hotpot and Korean BBQ together. If you use the unlimited hotpot, you can freely choose one of about 9 different soup bases (you can also order 2 or 3 different types as shown in the picture) and a sari menu of meat, vegetables, noodles, etc. You can order more after ordering once, so don't be too greedy at first. There is a notice on the menu that they don't like to leave too much. I made my own sauce and it was quite fun and satisfying. The music is mostly Kpop, and the atmosphere is bright and lively. One thing that is disappointing is that the gap between the table and the chair on the sofa chair against the wall is very narrow, making it difficult to rest your legs comfortably. Since guests from different tables sit in front and behind the sofa, each time one person stands up or pushes the chair back a little, the guest sitting on the other side experiences extreme discomfort. It feels like someone in the back seat of an airplane kicks the seat in front of you. We recommend that you avoid this seat during busy times. Overall, the taste and service were good enough to make me want to visit again.

I had a great experience at LaTao! We came to eat Korean BBQ with my group of friends and we order a lot of food. The servers were able to keep the food to come out fast. We ate a lot and we were really satisfied.

Total Party 3. Total cost $120. Problem here: Tipping. The food was good, a good number of choices but the meat had a lot of chuck of fats. Some may like this but it is not marbled fat. Either way the food was good. The only bad part of the experience was the tipping part. We tipped $10 (tipping is not required) but they brought the check back saying this was not enough and told us to tip more. Crazy. Overall okay food for the cost but the tipping should not be forced.

I got the lunch option with a group of friends and considering the food and price, this is an absolute must-try. Many of my friends never tried Hot Pot and Korean BBQ and they left pleased and satisfied. 10/10: it's cheap, the food and broth is outstanding, and the staff is nice and caring.

I have been a long time customer for Latao, l like their food a lot, but last time l went with my Mom for lunch, it was good time until when l pay, l gave the waitress a 10 dollar physical tip and after that she brought the pad for me to pay, l gave my card to her and she grabbed back the pad did the transaction, only after l got home looked at the receipt, they charged me another %18 percent tip on my bill, forced paid %32 percent on top of the actual meal cost, I called my back for charge back, this had happened several times before l came here too.
