Cozy, little neighborhood place. We all tried something different so we could taste each item. We had the meat charcuterie board, which had salami, prosciutto, pickled veg, and some soft buns. Everything was fresh, and the steaming bread was fabulous. We tried 3 pastas. Cavetelli with rabbit, raviolis with mortadella and ricotta and spaghetti with lamb ragu. They called that Maccheroni alla chitarra. They were all excellent. The cavetelli and the maccheroni had a kick to them....
Place is a guaranteed hit. Pasta is up there for best in the city. Grew up coming here with the parents, saw it had some questionable reviews and went to see if it still held up to my memory recently. It did and does not disappoint. Will be back soon.
Came here for the recommendation on Eater and was not disappointed. Delicious antipasti followed by pasta and entree dishes that were delectable. Attentive but not obtrusive service. Only complaint was the dark, cramped corner we were seated in but, hey, they're clearly trying to maximize a not huge space. Felt the prices were reasonable for the quality of the food.
