Their fried chicken was so good, my leftovers didn’t even make it an hour after getting home.

A huge variety of delicious vegan options and great beer/kombucha on tap. We often come for brunch to get the West Philly Breakfast which rivals vegan breakfast plates had in Scotland. Always nice to sit outside in the fresh air, but the seating inside is also great.

One of the best corner dive(ish) bars with some killer food. Had the congee and the special (salmon over hashbrown with tomatoes) and both were awesome. Killer draft list and prices. Love it.

Local 44 has been a local bar and restaurant since 2009. I’ve had some great meals there in the past including some memorable wings. Nice beer selection which comes out ice cold. Good burgers, last visit was on a Sunday so the menu was brunch based and the burger came with home fries (would have preferred fries) nice thick cut bacon on burger. Classic bar area which is pretty neat. Also has a bottle shop with wines and beer available for sale.

It has the potential to be a great bar and restaurant. Unfortunately the ownership and community creates a permission structure for vagrants to regularly harass and intimidate paying customers.

My experience was amazing I walked in and was instantly seated. It took a while for my food to arrive but OMG it was so worth it. I would give 100 stars if I could.

The Kale salad with smoked tofu was good. The bacon cheese burger was average. The service lacked any enthusiasm and left much to be desired. As if the place was run by part time university students with other priorities. The atmosphere was uninspiring and dark. There were no salt or pepper shakers on the table. The salad was served without bread or butter. Local 44 is open late on weekdays, that is a benefit. The menu seems to favor vegetarian dishes, although there are many dishes for non-V or V+ folks.

We have the unfortunate issue of our daughter being inpatient at CHOP; and on the rare occasion we do get out it’s usually hyper local during the dark last 16 months. Today on a 48 degree shitty rainy Saturday; Em was feeling comfortable with her care staff so we ventured 10 blocks away

I grew up in the city and jetted for the burbs after nearly 30 years, an I vowed to never go back; I love my burbs now I review as an old crotchety man.

Driving around on a dark, rainy, crappy Philadelphia day and hallelujah; we found parking. My West Philadelphia skills had to kick in and parallel shoehorn my way into a spot Im a pro :)

Drinks: wife had a BM (Bloody Mary weirdos) and we both had several local beers afterwards; outstanding selection

Food: We had some time so we strung things along a bit; had the Broccolini; Mushroom scrapple (a little sachy), wings and the grits F$&&@$!ng fantastic 5⭐️

Great service. Sat down quickly outside. Our server was lovely. Had a few great beers and appetizers. A lovely lively spot!

Extremely friendly staff and good prices. all I had were the fries which comes with ketchup and mayo if they are anything to go off of the food must be very good solid seasoning and crispy and hot. They play very upbeat and fun music with leads to friendly pizza party level of fun atmosphere 100/10 would definitely recommend you stop by
