This is a no frills, run-down corner bar that happens to have good bar food. No complaints with the cook, but the drinks and service were nothing to desire.

Unfortunately had a horrible experience while trying to order food for pickup over the phone. Called twice the first time, it was ringing for quite some time, thought I had dailed the wrong number. Checked and recalled only to be belittled by the lady on the other side. Didn't even get a word in, and got hung up on. Its unfortunate because this place is a great bar to hangout at.Edit:Thanks, I really appreciate the reply. I totally understand that it does get busy, you guys do have some of the best wings. I would've been totally fine with that explanation however it was just the interaction that I thought was inappropriate.

Prices are good for what you get as far as food and booze. One person waiting on the entire place can be tough so I'll give it another try. Cool place to visit. Definitely a local hangout which is nice.

Employee named Lisa should have been named Karen ! Ordered wings for staff lunch and they refused to honor tax exemption status with my company card. Said my bosses have better things to do than hassle me over a few dollars in taxes charged. The owner said he’d never even heard of tax exemption and asked me to leave and never come back ! If you like poor service , terrible attitudes and extreme ignorance, Locust Bar is the place for you!

Stopped in for dinner after touring Independence Hall and surrounding historic areas. Corner, neighborhood bar that serves food. Ordered two sandwiches - chicken parm and roast beef. Both were fine, but not good. Food was plentiful and served simply. Not alot of taste to either sandwich, but they were fine for what we wanted. Pricing was inexpensive at under $10 per sandwich. Service by the woman at the bar, who could not be bothered to bring anything to us. We had to go get everything except a nice man from the kitchen brought us our food.

Big improvement now that smoking is prohibited A regulars bar. Beer is a bit pricey for a dive bar.
