As a visitor coming from a land of sub-par, fraudulently labeled 'Philly cheesesteaks,' every cheesesteak in Philly is 4 out of 4 stars. Everything about Lorenzo's was great—steak flavor, cheese distribution, bread quality, all of it. Their cheesesteak won an award for best 'Philly' from Philadelphia Magazine. I'll be coming here if I want to hang out around the historic 9th Street Italian Market area

I’m from the South and me and my boyfriend went to Philly and we wanted to try a Philly cheese steak from Philly and this place was the first place we went to, to try a real Philly cheese steak. While business looked like it was booming he told us that he didn’t have enough rolls to serve us two sandwiches…. And they weren’t closing no time soon. (yes we were the only black people there)

Pizza is the BEST! It's the Italian Market so the atmosphere is what it should be in an open market environment. It's busy but service is fine. THE PIZZA IS MY FAVORITE!

Very disappointed.. was in town for the eagles parade and this shop was very highly recommended.. we waited an hour for our 2 cheese stakes and cheese fries, I was not the only annoyed customer that day.
The steaks were cold annd the meat was sparse. They had been sitting and the rolls sucked. The cheese fries further proved they had been sitting as they were soggy and Luke warm at best. Service was not great. Young kid at the counter isn’t personable, being polite doesn’t mean you are nice. I was resy hype about this food and it was such a big let down .. can’t understand why the place next to them was so empty… I don’t think I will ever be back.

I found myself looking for a spot of lunch in Philadelphia, I stopped by Lorenzos to experience the namesake philly cheesesteak which one can only akin to eating a croissant in Paris.
The expectations were high and wow did Lorenzos deliver, will certainly be back!
Order pizza from here all the time. It’s quite tasty with very good, fluffy crust, simple but perfect with reasonable prices.

I had an amazing Philly cheesesteak sandwich with peppers here in the heart of Philly! And guess what? They even included fries for just $15. It was totally worth it for that huge sandwich!

The place is small inside but has a counter and a few tables. It was packed around 2pm after normal lunch rush and stayed busy while we ordered and ate. I appreciate how they cook to order instead of leaving a pile of meat on the grill in anticipation of orders. You have to wait, but at least it isn't a dried out steak. Cheesesteaks were very good and great value for the money. I got the seeded roll with Cooper Sharp and I'd get it again.
