The historic, intimate setting and warm atmoshere is a welcome escape! When in Philadelphia, I love to have a glass of wine at the bar and meet locals & hotel guests. Everyone is always friendly!

We had the opportunity to host a private event here--great service with a cocktail hour held in the library and then dinner served in a private dining room. Elegance and decor to make any event a memorable one for which your guests will be wowed and remember for years to come. The staff were amazing in keeping the flow of food and drink constant with an almost imperceptible presence! Everyone present was more than impressed with the quality and culinary skills and presentation from the kitchen, making the entire evening feel as if you were entertaining within the comforts of your home..can't say enough about the help in planning and thoroughness of the event coordinator, from customized menus to food and drink recommendations.. these folks have their act together!

I have been here a handful of times for dinner and happy hour. The food is always tasty and wonderful. The service is always extremely attentive and polite. I have gotten the ravioli, steak and cheese boards which all were spot on. Would definitely recommend for a nice dinner or special occasion!

Cheese assortment was good, chorizo-corn stew was bland and forgettable, red snapper was overcooked. What the food lacked in flavor, the place made up for it by having an exceptional staff.

Nice quiet place in a great location. Our server Vince was excellent! Great recommendations and extremely accommodating. We tried had the cheese board, hanger steak, mafaldine, and a dulce de leche cheesecake and everything was delicious! The only thing I wished was that we had a chance to sit in the garden as it was a beautiful night and looked very inviting, but unfortunately there was a wedding (darn beautiful acts of love). Will definitely be back!

I came here for restaurant week Philadelphia. We had been here previous, maybe a year ago and the food was outstanding. This time not so much. I knew there would be a limited menu, but the selections were poor. A roast chicken dish, catfish and collard greens, and cheese ravioli. It was a 3 course meal and the salad was great, desert was only fair. For $35 a head I was very disappointed. Service was just ok and they were not busy at all. She had just 2 tables. Had 2 ask multiple time for bread. Not sure if we will go back. Was told they had a great new chef, but I don't agree.

Beautiful outdoor garden made for a relaxing and pleasurable experience. They have a very affordable wine list and very unique dishes to choose from. Loved the roasted beets with whipped tofu appetizer and blistered shishito peppers. Noteworthy as well were the white bean and basil ravioli and the seared scallops with crushed mint peas. Service was unobtrusive, friendly and attentive. I've travelled around the world for years and have eaten in many excellent restaurants and M matches my highest rating.
