What a treat this evening was! Mabu is a little treasure of a spot with perfect lighting, perfect music, and very good food. We had grilled octopus, onion soup, and salmon. Everything was well-seasoned and well-balanced. Service was attentive and pleasant. It brought to mind a cozy, romantic neighborhood cafe in Paris! We will definitely return regularly. Highly recommend! Nice and close to the Kimmel/Acad of Music too.
Our first visit last night and we and our friends were impressed. This was our first time at Mabu -- an early dinner on a Saturday. The menu is enticing and the food is made from seasonal ingredients. My partner and I started with the roasted brussel sprouts - the cranberries were unusual but worked with the maple balsamic reduction. We shared the duck leg confit and the cod bilbaina for mains: both were great! The apple gateau was a delicious dessert with our espressos.
