What a treat this evening was! Mabu is a little treasure of a spot with perfect lighting, perfect music, and very good food. We had grilled octopus, onion soup, and salmon. Everything was well-seasoned and well-balanced. Service was attentive and pleasant. It brought to mind a cozy, romantic neighborhood cafe in Paris! We will definitely return regularly. Highly recommend! Nice and close to the Kimmel/Acad of Music too.

Our first visit last night and we and our friends were impressed. All the dishes were enjoyed for their flavor and execution, This isn't cutting edge cuisine, it is just really good versions of dishes we knew how good they can be or at least thought we knew. This was our first time at Mabu -- an early dinner on a Saturday. The menu is enticing and the food is made from seasonal ingredients. My partner and I started with the roasted brussel sprouts - the cranberries were unusual but worked with the maple balsamic reduction. We shared the duck leg confit and the cod bilbaina for mains: both were great! The apple gateau was a delicious dessert with our espressos.
