My wife and I visited Philly from scotland to go to wrestlemania on Sunday night, we watched the Saturday night in here and had the best time. This is one of the best bars we have ever visited. The bar staff Christian and Erica really made the night extra special and we made friends with some of the local patrons. A fantastic night.

I really wanted to love this place since I love the show but I was a little bummed. I went in and while I understood it was incredibly busy due to it being Wrestlemania weekend, the bartenders were very slammed and had no time for anyone. At one point while ordering, the bartender said “can you wrestling people just go home?” The food was was good and so were the drinks, the service was just not it.

We were watching the final four Iowa vs UConn game and even though every TV in the bar had the game on they would not turn on the sound to the game. I even saw the bartenders laugh about us asking to turn the sound on. Guess women’s sports and watching the highest scoring player in NCAA basketball history is a joke to them.Only gave the extra star cause the mac and cheese slaps.Edit: Owner claims they don’t play the sound of the games at their SPORTS BAR at baseline. However, there are previous reviews complaining the sound of a game on the tv was too loud.Also, we had asked the female bartender if the sound could be turned on and she said “yeah, that shouldn’t be a problem”. Then when she asked the male bartender he laughed and they never turned it on.Took away the Mac and cheese star.

Me and my friends went to Mac’s on first night on our Philadelphia vacation. Christian was our Bartender and was truly a delight. Me and all my friends have worked in the service industry and we know what it looks like to see someone go above and beyond like Christian did. We ended going back twice because of Christian and cannot recommend him and this place enough.

A very cool and hip tavern in downtown Philly. Discovered this place while walking around downtown. Had the crab cake sliders with fries. Food was awesome. Have a wide selection of beers on tap and a good food selection with daily specials. Definitely recommend checking out if you’re visiting the area.Parking: Parking in downtown Philly is nearly impossible. Better to ride the train or bus, or better yet just walk.Wheelchair accessibility: Not wheelchair accessible without assistance. There is a step up to get in the place. Once inside totally accessible and service dog friendly.
