I ordered a latte with lactaid milk, and paid extra for the lactaid. I tasted it and could tell it wasn't lactaid, asked the barista and he apparently just outright lied--sick almost immediately after finishing it.
I keep finding myself back here—and not just because it’s close to campus. The space is beautiful: warm wood, cute displays, and plenty of elegant charm that make it an easy spot to study or catch up with friends. I’m especially drawn to the pastry case; the desserts are adorable and genuinely tasty, and even though prices run on the higher side, the overall experience feels worth it to me. If I have one wish, it’s for the drinks to rise to the level of the pastries. They look great, but the flavors can be a bit understated. Still, for ambiance and desserts, this place is an easy pick, and it’s why I’ve been back several times.

Their matcha is too sweet
This was a very cute ascetic restaurant. The sweets were so adorable and loved how everything was paired! I got the Butter Pecan and my friend got the Mango Pomelo Mille Crepes. We both loved our dessert and caffeinated beverages.

One of the best Matcha lattes I've ever had! Highly recommend the peach matcha latte, unique and not too sweet.
I’ve been to here a few times before and usually had a decent experience, but my visit today was honestly disappointing. I went with my boyfriend and we ordered the Mango Cloud drink, Strawberry Matcha, and the mango dessert (listed as $11 on the menu).
Both drinks were lowkey bad. The Mango Cloud tasted sour and more like rice with just lots of milk, no fruity flavor. The Strawberry Matcha was the same. all milk, barely any matcha, and the strawberry syrup was way too sour. The dessert itself was okay, a little soggy for something meant to be a hard shell, but not terrible compared to the drinks.
I think the biggest issue with what I had a PROBLEM with was when the check came. Our total was $28, which is fine, but the prices didn’t match the menu. The mango dessert rang up as $14 when the menu clearly said $11. The table behind us also had a similar issue where they even said they had a service charge of 18%. No one told them for 5 ppl there’s a service charge and they said they would never come again because “WTH” When I asked the server for our issue, she first gave me a soft attitude, saying it was $1 extra cuz dine in is more… like for what?… which didn’t make sense. She insisted the price was correct. I knew it wasn’t, and instead of checking right away, she kept giving that passive aggressive smile and said she’ll get the menu for me (to prove me wrong I guess lol) Eventually, after making us wait forever, she came back smiling and admitted the prices on the menu weren’t updated and had gone up because of inflation. That’s not a small mistake that’s false advertising.
To me it’s not about the extra dollars, it’s about being upfront and treating customers with respect. If prices change, the menu should reflect that. The customer service was unprofessional and only became apologetic once she realized she was wrong.
Overall, drinks were not good, dessert was just okay, and the way the situation was handled completely ruined the experience. I won’t be coming back.

Underwhelming. An elegant or even smooth dining experience it is not. The ordering system is confusing, i.e. it never became clear which items are available for takeout or dine-in. I did not end up getting what I wanted, and even the order I was able to make arrived missing half. (This was then corrected). There was a very strong smell of bleach, of all things. The staff are generally friendly, but this place could use some coordination and supervision. It is not cheap, but my experience was a near disaster.

Nice bakery. Friendly staff. Delicious cakes. Delicious ice cream. But the drinks need to be improved because they are bland and don't smell like tea.

FALSE ADVERTISEMENT Got the afternoon tea set for 2 listed for $30, but the bill charged me $31.50. I didn't realize it until I left. Be aware! Look at your bill before checking out!
FYI: There was a credit card surcharge (no one told me that)

I love their desserts but tbh the taro Mille crepe cake sometimes takes like potatoes (which is what taro technically is) but I’m not sure if it was that days batch but it was not really sweet at all, and I’m someone that enjoys less sweet. Other than that, everything is amazing there

I love this cafe. Of course staff barely knows English; however, it doesn’t change anything since it’s great cafe. Tons of different options, truly well made

A very cute cafe with a nice atmosphere. Desserts looked amazing and presentation was on point. We tried the peach oat matcha and strawberry oat matcha. Both were decent, but I wish they used more matcha in each drink.

I went out of my way to come here and purchase the lemon and mango shaped fruit pastries. I was shocked to find the fruit inside the mango pastry was chopped PEACH, not mango. To be sure I pulled it apart and licked off the filling. Sure enough — peaches. I’m a baker so I know the difference between a peach and mango. I went to A La Mousse two weeks ago and their mango pastry was amazing. I wanted to try a different one to compare. I won’t ever return to Maison Sweet. That level of deception is inexcusable.
