Best bakery in Philly?? Love the food so much that I've done a catering order for a friend's mehendi as well as our own housewarming. Everything's mouthwateringly good: the sweet and the savory! And the customer service is extraordinary!

Easily makes it into my top 5 bakeries on the East Coast. The owner/baker truly cares about producing quality savory and sweet baked goods. Check out his story on website. Although the store only has a few tables, the atmosphere is excellent.

I will frequent this small business any time I’m in Philly.

I stumbled upon this place and I am stoked about it. I will be telling everyone I know to try this bakery! I had the Harrisa Eggplant Safeha and the iced rose sharab. The Safeha was savory and so tasty. The Sharab was refreshing but a little on the sweet side for me but I’m not really a sugar girl. I cannot wait to try their other offerings.

A homey little bakery with a unique selection of sweet and savory goods. I tried two items:

1. Chicken sumac fatayer: nicely seasoned, dough was soft and fluffy. Unfortunately, the chicken was quite dry. Fortunately, the sauce made up for it. 8/10 (if the chicken was tender it would be a 10)

2. Cherry hazelnut babka: lovely texture, moist without feeling under-baked. Good chocolatey flavor and cherry chunks. However, the sweetness was a bit overwhelming. I felt like the sugar could be reduced because it masked some of the base flavors. 7/10

Would come again to try other items! (Also the interior is very tastefully decorated!)

Majdal Bakery instantly reminded me of home. Their manakeesh are truly something special—fresh, flavorful, and made with so much care. The manakeesh has that perfect balance of soft yet slightly crisp dough, just like the ones I grew up with. The Manakeesh bread is hearty and rich in flavor, the kind that makes you slow down and really enjoy every bite.

If I could move out of my apartment in New York and into this pastry case, I would. This is the kind of food that I have dreams about. Such incredible flavors and textures.
