This was my third time at this restaurant. I remember meeting the owner on my first visit he was very kind and welcoming, and the food was perfect. The second visit was fine as well; we ordered the Heneeth lamb, but it had a lot of fat. This time, however, the portion size was much smaller and not even close to the 20 oz mentioned on the menu, and it was again full of fat too much, honestly. I spoke to the waiter about it, but his response was quite random: he said they had changed their meat supplier and that the meat now has more fat. He didn’t really try to offer a solution. To be fair, the waiter was polite and smiling, and the meat itself was delicious, but the excessive fat and small portion were disappointing. I truly hope they address this issue, because this place has great potential and deserves to be one of the best spots in town.

This is the best middle eastern restaurant I’ve been to. The food is delicious, the service is outstanding. The chef came out and checked on everyone. It’s a small and charming place❣️

A suggestion: if a guest attempts to order a fairly standard lunchtime beverage — like an Arnold Palmer — because they didn’t really have time to look at the menu, perhaps just tell them you don’t have it if that’s the case. What I wouldn’t recommend is sarcastically responding “yeah, I’ll go whip that up for you” and after receiving a blank stare of confusion, double down with, “there’s nothing like that on the menu.” Just my two cents.

Very authentic Yamani dishes. A bit expensive for the quality and the service. Worth trial once.

The Adani chai literally massaged our souls! Came here with different people on multiple occasions. The foods are always amazing! The chicken shish kebab is so tender and juicy, roasted to the perfect consistency. My partner had been thinking of the Adani chai the whole day. Malooga is definitely my top ranks when it comes to “Good food in Philly” recommendation!

I really liked the food and the staff was friendly but lacked attention. The Lahsah was delicious. The restaurant was ok, tight space and not homey or inviting.

Food: This was my second visit to Malooga, and I ordered their Lentil Soup. This was perfect for a chilly day. The soup was savory, aromatic, and rich in flavor. I highly recommend it if you’re looking for something light.
Service: Service was quick, attentive, and added to the overall positive experience.
