Most Authentic Experience. The staff is very warm and friendly, falafel was delicious and fresh!
I was very impressed by the preparation they took time to make fresh breads. I had baklava for the first time, all the crispy layers with sweetness on point!

Good place but customer service needs some work. Went yesterday and the guy just picks up phone calls before your order is fully taken. I’m sitting thing like do I stand here and wait or not?!?!
The food was good, but the service was very poor.

This place is good but can be really slow. I’ve had friends go in and ask for a wrap and they’ve told them it would be a 30 min wait.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Manakeesh Cafe Bakery & Grill
Manakeesh Cafe Bakery & Grill is one of the best halal spots in University City! The restaurant is clean, cozy, and perfect for sitting down to eat, study, or get some work done. Their food is absolutely delicious — especially the mashawi (barbecue) and the fresh bread straight from the oven.
They also have a great section for tea pots, sweets, and healthy smoothies, which makes it a perfect place to relax with friends or enjoy a quiet moment. The service is friendly, the atmosphere is warm, and the quality of the food is always excellent.
Highly recommended for anyone in Philadelphia looking for amazing halal food and a comfortable place to sit. Five stars all the way!

Recently visoted this place and really enjoyed the food. The taste was authentic, portions were good, and everything was fresh. The service was friendly and the place was clean. Definitely a good spot for halal food in the area. I’d recommend trying it if you’re nearby!

I was really disappointed with the platter I received. The rice was spoiled and it had a bad smell and a slimy texture. After eating just a small amount, my tummy started feeling really bad. I showed it to the staff and they said sorry. The hummus also didn’t taste fresh. I expected much better quality and was very unhappy with this experience.

Got a mixed shawarma platter with Lebanese salad and Hummus with their large fresh pita. It was all really tasty and it was plenty of food for two people, really. I also tried the Mint Yogurt drink which was interesting, but not my thing—too salty. But still, delicious, healthy, balanced meal.

We come from the middle east ourselves. We’ve been trying to find authentic arab food around philadelphia, and this was it! Staff were very friendly and we enjoyed our stay. We ordered one beef kabob and lamb platter, and chicken shawarma btw.
Chai latte tastes like the ice cream from malai in center city, love it!

The shakshuka is so flavorful and delicious and filling. Their hot Manakeesh tea is delightful.

I just ate the best falafel wrap (w hummus) I've ever had. Their hummus is truly exceptional -- I don't know if I've ever felt passionately about hummus, but theirs is truly top notch. The falafels are also incredibly tasty and aren't too oily which is a common issue with falafels imo. Service is always super friendly and great! Love this place!
