The food is really great but the portion size is so small for the price. This is my second time getting it from here and for a single order of chicken vindaloo it was $21 in total. The first time I thought it was a mistake the amount the gave so I ordered again. The portion of rice it came with was normal. But the actual chicken vindaloo was literally 3 pieces of chicken, 2 pieces of potato and mostly sauce. Super flavorful though. For the price of the dishes, there should be a bigger portion.

Solid food, but a little expensive for the quality. I’ve tried the chicken tikka, butter chicken, samosas, naan, and a few other appetizers, and they’re all pretty good. It’s a great spot for Manayunk but there’s definitely better Indian food in the center city.

"Dear Manayunk Indian Grille,
First off, let’s clear the air (which, by the way, wasn’t fresh in your restaurant either). We did NOT eat all the dishes. We made the rookie mistake of ordering several items at once, only to realize halfway through that we’d signed up for a 'Guess the Expiration Date' challenge. The frozen food we did try was passable, but the stale and stinky ones? Yeah, those went untouched.
Now, let’s address the elephant—or should I say the mouse—in the room. Yes, we spotted a little rodent doing laps around the restaurant like it was his personal playground. Hygiene issues, anyone? Maybe instead of critiquing our behavior, you could invest in a door seal to keep your furry patrons outside.
As for your defensive response—wow. Instead of owning up and improving your food or service, you’re playing detective on four people’s collective behavior. Bravo! Here’s a thought: maybe spend less time covering up bad reviews and more time covering up the mouse holes.
For those considering a visit, don’t just take my word for it—check out the sea of 1-star reviews from other Indians. If only there were a way to give negative stars to match this restaurant’s unusual responses and questionable hygiene!
Thank you for the entertainment. Unfortunately, your food wasn’t as amusing."
The food was solid here at Manayunk Indian Grille.
I went for lunch and it wasn’t crowded. My order came out quickly.
Pictured is the Chicken Tikka Masala with Butter & Garlic Naan. The creamy sauce had a nice flavor and spice to it.
The staff was also friendly.

Few dishes were stinky like they came just out of fridge and smelled of other items there. Avoid this restaurant.

I ordered Chicken Manchuria and had a really disappointing experience. First, the quantity was far less than expected. On top of that, the dish was cold when it arrived, which made it taste even worse. I had specifically asked for it to be extra spicy, but instead, it tasted bland and stale. Overall, it was a major letdown, and I wouldn’t recommend ordering from here again.

biryani rice was missing they gave plain rice with food color instead of biryani rice, also it was undercooked , extremely less protein and whatever protein was included it was stale. had to throw out the whole thing. I used to love this place and even recommend to my friends but now I regret it.

We were assured by the hostess that the eggplant could and would be made without dairy. This was not the case. Thoroughly disappointed.

Delicious food but feeling ripped off.. as a chef, I was super hype for this ..god damn did the flavor deliver but the portions.. wow , talk about highway robbery. The chicken biryani bowl may have had a whole 2oz of chicken.. no lie..: and the Manchurian chicken was also a small port with zero sides.. so a quick $35 and now need a 2nd dinne
