Friendly & prompt service, space is clean & has a nice atmosphere. Each dish has plenty of ingredients, which are fresh. The broth could be better - could be stronger & more authentic in flavor, but the noodles are the perfect chewiness. The spicy seafood ramen also was not spicy at all, so ask for SPICE if that’s what you’re hoping for. We also got the calamari, which was some of the best calamari we’ve ever had - very fresh.

Hot darn I’m impressed, Akamaru spicy ramen was delish. Subtly spicy, salty, gingery, the char sui (roast pork) was a how you say - melt in your mouth level good - almost buttery. Interior is no frills and dare I say I rather enjoyed the blues blasting over the speakers, this one’s a sleeper for sure. Look no further for a hefty bowl of Ramen on a cold or sweltering hot Philly day.

We really enjoyed our food. The service was friendly and quick. The appetizers came out hot, fast, and delicious. I got the daily special chicken udon but substituted the udon for ramen. My brother got the spicy mayo ramen and he really liked it. Everyone was pleased with the broth to noodle ratio in their ramen.

Cute casual ramen house with good service. Food came out fast. We got two ramen bowl and gyozo. The pork broth base was incredible and taste. The ramen with beef could have had a bit more beef and vegies. The gyozo were good. A bit on the expensive side for such casual dining, but that seems consistent with ramen houses these days. Will go again.

I really enjoyed the Seafood Ramen! It’s more like a sweet&sour&hot sauce. Sorry I was too hungry to take photo before trying it out:) which means the photo isn’t presenting the complete portion of the meal. Also had the fried chicken to go for this evening. Will try it later!

Ramen shop with various kinds of ramen and rice dishes.Chicken katsu ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️: for a ramen restaurant this place has really good katsu. Was crispy on the outside and tender on the inside. Was perfectly cooked. My only complaint is the salt is a bit unevenly seasoned as some parts were salter than others.Akamaru ramen ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️: the toppings especially the chashu were very well made. The chashu had a nice char on it and was very tender. I do like my broth thick and gelatinous so this one was a bit on the thinner side for me.Gomuko ramen ⭐️⭐️⭐️: first time trying this kind of ramen and i wasn't personally a fan. It was very light and the broth almost tasted kind of like Chinese seaweed egg drop soup.

The ramen was great hakata ramen was awesome with cloudy tonkatsu broth can heat up your body as you inhale this ramen. Topping was top notch. The shabu shabu ramen isnt for the weak of tongue. The spiciness give it a extra fragrance that still allow you to taste the broth. The mochiko chicken was not good , if u expect a chrunch, and crips. Just semi crips, but the flavor is there. Just who ever fried it and battered it did it poorly for my batch

The ramen was as good as any as it is very difficult to find great ramen in Philadelphia. The soup base was good. I ordered the lychee tea which was also very good. Interestingly enough, this place used too little ice as opposed to the usual of having too much ice. I ended up having to ask them to add more ice. Overall, it was a pleasant lunch and would go there again.

Pretty good for cheap ramen. I had the spicy seafood ramen, which lived up to its name. It came loaded with seafood and vegetables— and I’m always grateful for vegetables, especially at Japanese restaurants. Nothing spectacular, but a really good value and quite tasty. The service was fast and friendly, though there were some communication problems. (Be patient with non-native speakers.) Also remember it’s BYOB.
