Inviting, hip neighborhood bar. A little crowded at times, but not a bad trade-off to be in a spot that feels pretty alive. Check it out!

I’m really on the fence with this review. The service and ambience were great. It’s a trendy little neighborhood bar with good music and good people. Three draft beers with common names and off we were to our table. The beer is brewed offsite but it’s Meeting’s beer: love that. However, the food left much to be desired. The bread and butter were good, fries were done right but the clams and Turkey BLT…meh. The clams were so chewy…I mean like, super chewy and I could not cut into it with my teeth. I had one: full stop. Now ordering a Turkey BLT, one should not expect the moon but since there’s about 7 - 8 things on the menu I would hope that each dish is done to near-perfection. It was not. It was essentially basic. Did I eat everything save for the clams? Yes. Would I go back? For sure. The service, people and beer are worth another pass. And I’ll definitely try another dish but I won’t go hungry. Live music would definitely draw me back in!

Lame and boring food. The menu is totally random and nothing really appealed to me, so I got 6 chewy clams and room temp bread. You get 3 craft beers to choose from plus Guinness where Memphis tap had several times more. Been here twice and service was hit and miss. My friend works here so I don’t wanna rip them too hard but it’s just a disappointing replacement to what was a great neighborhood hang.

Came with the fam for new year’s brunch, we already know this is one of our best meals of the year and it’s the first day of 2024. Everything was a surprise, simple dishes that kept turning our minds to another dimension. We'll be back!

Great service, atmosphere and solid drinks but I agree with other reviews that the food was disappointing. It felt silly paying over $6 for a small portion of fries with a tiny container of ketchup. The salad which I had also heard rave reviews about was dry and strangely bitter and the roast beef sandwich was also pretty dry and hard to eat. I spent the whole meal wanting more “lubricant” for the food. I want to give this place another chance but not sure if I will given all the other options nearby.

We've been excited to try this new spot in the old Memphis Taproom location and went for the New Years Eve special. The food was excellent, perfectly cooked and well seasoned. The table next to us kept ordering from the regular menu and everything smelled and looked amazing, we'll definitely be back to try more. My one gripe was that the prime rib special was for two but they only brought the one plate and one steak knife so it was a little awkward passing that back and forth, but they were busy and probably didn't notice. Service was friendly and the ambience was a little noisy but cozy. I'm also not sure I understand the "mystery wine" idea, they wouldn't even tell us if it was red or white before ordering and didn't share any more details even after drinking it. I've been to a place where they did something similar and if you could guess the wine you got it for free, but this was just odd. Is it Yellowtail? It's probably Yellowtail. Anyway we enjoyed everything we had and will be back, happy to have this place in the neighborhood!

Best fries I've had in quite some time. Also need to shout-out our server, who sensed our indecisiveness and put together a well balanced set of dishes for our spontaneous evening out.Vegetarian options: Limited menu, but vegetarian options are featured. Noteworthy options include an award winning salad, braised oyster mushrooms, and the best french fries I've had outside of Europe.Kid-friendliness: Somewhat kid friendly. Bar in front, dining area in the rear.

Simplicity is underrated. Nail the basics and you’ll have a great place. Meetinghouse does this so well. Excellent food program with local beers and tasty cocktails. Friendly service. An elevated experience. Highly recommended place to grab some food and imbibe in comfort.

Finally made it in for our fist visit as the new spot, and we were really impressed. Great ambience for brunch. It was nice and bright in the front room, and calm and quieter in the back at the tables. They were also playing great music, and the service was very good. Both bartenders were friendly, attentive, and pleasant. I can understand how the limited menu might not be for everyone, and to be fair it's a fairly unique and uncommon concept for a bar/restaurant, but I kind of liked it. It was nice to just have simple, solid options that they do well, and it felt kind of rustic and like a throw back to way earlier times. I'm not sure about the mixed reviews about the food on here, because everything that we had was very good. I do, however, agree about the small plates. Why so small guys? It made the sandwich a little hard to eat. Overall, we had a great experience and even though we don't live anywhere near this neighborhood We'll definite make the trip back up for another visit soon.

Long time Memphis frequenter, and I am so happy with this new bar. As for the negative reviews here, I think I it just comes down to preference. Obviously it’s not the same as Memphis, but that’s not a bad thing. The menu is simplistic, hearty, and made with local, high quality ingredients. It reminds me of a hyper local European cafe. Their beer is similar, simple, and delicious. Their staff is war and friendly. Too many bars and restaurants attempt to overstuff and overcomplicate. Meetinghouse hits that sweet spot beautifully in my opinion. If you’re coming because you are looking for a new Memphis, just don’t come. This ain’t that. But it’s great nonetheless. As a local I shall be frequenting often.

Neighborhood gem! I could eat the salad every day. Simple yet effective menu, friendly staff, cozy vibes, and tasty beers. I can’t wait to go back and work my way through the menu.
