Megumi Japanese Ramen & Sushi Bar

Megumi is a very standard quick sushi spot in Chinatown. Fish seemed fresh, tuna is the standard frozen lean tuna. Staff were attentive and apologetic when my order was made incorrectly.

Good service, not-so-great food. I really wanted to like this place more, but I felt let down by most of the dishes. We got the gyoza and karaage chicken as appetizers, and then a mix of sushi rolls for an entree. I was pretty disappointed in the quality of the fish (just okay) and the construction of the rolls (not rolled and cut neatly). The deluxe roll that we got, the sweet shrimp roll, had shrimp tempura that was not very crispy.

Great miso Raman and sushi. Tempura appetizer is one of the best there. Staffs are polite.

Just your average sushi and Japanese restaurant, nothing really stood out to me. The food was fine overall, but nothing memorable. The fish in the sushi didn’t seem the freshest, though it was still passable for a casual meal. Service was okay too, not bad, but nothing that made the experience feel special. If you’re looking for a quick and simple sushi fix and you're in Chinatown, this place is fine, but I wouldn’t go out of my way for it.

Awful...awful...the atmosphere was uninviting...I am disabled and they seemed inconvienced by me and my being disabled...my work mate explained that I am hearing impaired and walking impaired to which we got a dirty look and then more dirty looks...I feel rushed and my anxiety was off the charts...I had a bowl of ramen and the food tasted just okay...the vibe was awful...I was so polite and I smiled...I felt awful for my workmate because she tried to make the best of it...I have never been so offended in all my life.

Be aware of cockroaches there!!!
Health Department should come and pay them a visit!!!!

Me and my family went there yesterday! The waitress refilled our glasses with water, I couldn’t believe my eyes when we saw a cockroach in my cousin’s glass of water. The waitress immediately took it away. And she had the audacity to offer only 20% discount to my cousin , what a slap in the face! We negotiated 50% off for her food. But honestly she should have offered her meal for free!! The waitress argued that the cockroach was in the free water and the food did not have the cockroach. I told her it looks bad regardless! What kind of stupid argument was that???!! This is the most disgusting thing! I’ve been disgusted so much and couldn’t finish my food! I will sit out on ramen restaurants from now on.
So be aware of cockroaches there! ( I’m so mad she took the glass of water away so fast and i didn’t get a chance to take a picture to show you all the nice fat cockroach floating in there)

I love the sushi here, but was disappointed when I got take out for the first time, receiving my go-to order for half the size I get dining in. For $17, I received 10 miniature pieces of sushi(in the photo I had already eaten 3 pieces). Whenever I get this order dining in, I get good sized pieces worth the price. Would still recommend the sushi, just only when dining in.

Great staff, guy is talkative but nice. Food was fantastic, very fresh and hot as hell. My mom absolutely loves their ginger dressing salads, we get the 2 roll special and ascend.

Ordered on uber eats, mediocre and not very flavourful.

They gave half a serving of soy sauce for sushi. No cutlery or chopsticks given. How hard is it to throw in a bit of cutlery or chopsticks at a minimum?

Great experience with ramen and a good standard for ramen in US. While the soup was a bit thin, it was flavorful, and the thick slices of chashu made up for the flavor. If you are looking for a nice Japanese-style bowl of noodles, this is the place. Reasonable prices and additions too

We had the shrimp curry and an Amazing roll and it was all very good including the miso soup and ginger salad. Great customer service!
