A hip, vibrant, and modern vibe with perfect banh mi bread. Crisp, aromatic outside (but not tough), and airy, soft dough on the inside. There are many more coffee choices than your average bubble tea place, adding to the Vietnamese experience. The sandwich and drink choices are delicious, but rice bowls and soups are solid as well. My only criticism is that the tapioca pearls are hit or miss. I’ve been there a few times and they can sometimes be undercooked

Didn’t notify Uber Eats they were closed and I waited and hour for nothing.

Update:
The owner responded to my review, and I want to address their comments. First off, I approached them right away with my concern that the banh-mi was bland and needed more flavoring. They didn't care then. I ended up just asking for more Vietnamese mayo, hoping that it would add a little more flavor---it did not. While they didn't care then, they cared enough to respond to an honest Google Review by trying to condescend and minimize my feedback. As a result, I'm downgrading my review to 1-star.

Here's the thing. I'm a huge fan of banh-mi, and I've lived in France so am very familiar with pâté. When I say something is bland, I am speaking from experience. Banh-mi normally has rich, complex flavors because it relies on fresh, quality ingredients. When I ate the pork belly, it tasted like lunch meat that had added pepper. The pâté was barely present---I literally had to take apart the banh-mi to even see it. And Vietnamese mayo is not regular mayo with extra egg yolk. It's supposed to be richer, more complex than regular mayo, relying less on vinegar and acids---this did not taste like that. Overall, they just do not use quality ingredients. They're not bad ingredients. I don't think people will get sick from them, but they're just mass-produced, bland, and lack any flavor profile that one would expect from a banh-mi. The only part of the banh-mi that tasted distinct in any way was the jalapeño... well, the bread was also nice, crunchy.

Additionally, the restaurant was NOT rushed. There was only one other table waiting on food when we arrived, and a few to-go orders. I got my banh-mi fairly quickly, though my friend had to wait for a LONG time to get his spring rolls---the sauce that came with the spring rolls was awful btw, think sugary bbq sauce. As for the tipping, I can't stress this enough: Restaurants that do not offer table service should not automatically suggest a 20% tip. What are we tipping for? You don't greet us, offer food suggestions, get us drinks, or even bus the table. Food arrives late, and no one checks in to make sure you're enjoying the food. Tipping is supposed to reward good customer service, but there was none.

Original Review:
Ordered a banh-mi, and it was extremely bland. The pate was barely noticeable, the pork belly was peppery and rubbery lunch meat, and the Vietnamese mayo tasted like regular mayo with food coloring. Service was mid.

The place is just a gentrified food spot, the kind where you order at the register, and the screen prompts you to tip 20% before they provide any actual service. The cashier was nice enough, just rushed and disinterested in actually interacting. No one checks in on you to see if you need anything, and then you have to bus your own table—so what’s the tip for? It’s not worth the visit.

Very solid banh mi spot in the neighborhood that also makes very yummy drinks! My go to would be the cold cuts banh mi, with the matcha coconut water!

I highly recommend the fried shrimp banh mi, the beef stew, and a side of fries with spicy ketchup!

Love the contemporary twist on the Viet's Banh mi. Especially the shrimp one, my picky eater loves it.

I’ve ordered from here once or twice over the years. The bahn mi have been fresh, very flavorful and overall of high quality. The popcorn chicken is tasty as well but it could be a bigger serving as someone else also said. I would definitely order again or eat in at this establishment.

We had vegetarian banh mi and Vietnamese ice coffee with bubble and grass jelly topping. The food and drink were delicious, fresh and tasty. We would love to come back again.
