Apparently the egg sandwich is what makes this place so popular, but after paying $15 for the most basic cold cut turkey sandwich, I’m reluctant to spend any more of my money here.

Waited an hour and 45 minutes, for delivery, for 2 cold cut sandwich’s. One sandwich had cracked and dry bread and the taste was sub par. The sandwich I received had 100 pickles and supposedly avocado but I could only find a small sliver. Will not order from here again. WAYYYYYY Overhyped, there are much better options throughout the city.

I want to like this place. It’s ridiculously small with seating for about 10, 8 comfortably. It’s a brunch place that doesn’t serve eggs after 1100am. What? Arbitrary and silly. Better places in the same neighborhood.

I basically wasted calories $18 on this underwhelming Reuben sandwich. Somehow, I save this place on my restaurants to try while visiting Philadelphia for the day from New York and I popped in for lunch. I was hoping to try the breakfast sandwiches but it was lunchtime so they were unavailable. The guy at the counter recommended that I tried the Reubun sandwich and I wish I didn’t take his recommendation. He was a nice guy, but the sandwich left me wanting more and it didn’t have anything unique to it and win some you lose some🤷🏿‍♂️

Food and atmosphere were great, but terrible and slow service.

Went on a Saturday at 1pm; waited about 35 minutes for our sandwiches outside because it is very small inside and was quite crowded. Sandwiches were pretty good and chocolate milk was very good (hard to find homemade choco milk anymore)

Went to Middle Child for tomato season just to taste their famous BLT. It did not disappoint. It was juicy, packed with locally-grown heirloom tomatoes that were perfectly complimented by crispy bacon, fresh lettuce, and a generous smear of mayo. This sandwich left me speechless. My only complaint is that it was $17, but worth it for this once-per-year treat.

Don't come here if you're in a hurry, it's not worth waiting more than 30 minutes for this sandwich. Sandwiches are mediocre and delivery is too slow

Finally got to try Middle Child since it’s been on my list for too long. Well, I’m not sure about the hype now because the sandwich tastes bland to me, only eggs, cheese and some arugulas. I understand they make the eggs like Japanese egg omelette, which is very unique, but other than that, the sandwich didn’t impress me. For almost $10, I’m not sure I’ll go back. The service is friendly, and the store is nice and clean though.

Best sandwiches around. Cant go wrong with the rueben, the corned beef basically falls apart in your mouth, it was so tender. The wait can be a bit long but worth it, definitely recommend

Fresh sandwiches with great bread! They cut them in half which makes it easy to share. We went on a Sunday and the wait was exceptionally long which delayed our plans slightly. There was seating room while we were waiting though.

I honestly don’t understand the hype this place receives. The service was extremely friendly but I thought the food was so-so.
