My son and I have Celiac, my son called and spoke to the owner and he assured my son they only have 1 item that has gluten “for the kids” he said. We weee so excited to go and actually have a meal without worry. Server gave us misinformation as to what had gluten and what didn’t , she was wrong. The owner found out that we could have possibly injected gluten he immediately comped a cauliflower platter for us . It was already to late. Drinks were great my daughter had fun picking different options. The owener even has a You Tube video talking about gluten free food , very misleading. A little on the pricey side. But Celiacs beware tons of cross contamination going on!!!!!! Will never go again, sad because we like the tavern , but hate being sick much much more.

Thank you to Mifflin Tavern for being great about having gluten free options. Separate fryers, mostly gluten free menu, and very understanding and knowledgeable staff when it comes to Celiac!

Dietary restrictions: Great gluten free options for Celiac

Food always hits. Unfortunately the past few times I’ve dined in one of the servers/bartenders (who I’ve been told is actually the owner) has been really rude and unwelcoming. The first time I chalked it up to her having a bad night, maybe some other guests ruined her night. But multiple visits in a row now. I think I’ll stick to take out.

Just a neighborhood corner bar. But nice friendly people.

Parking: Typical south Philly streets. You have to park where ever you can. Not too bad

Whatever bartender was working there on April 17th 8:00 2024 very disrespectful because I asked for to go cut and she gave me a nasty attitude she lucky I ain't slap her ugly self I really feel like she was being disrespectful cuz maybe because of my race but if you are of color I don't recommend this bar very disrespectful and disgusting behavior

Cute little spot and very friendly but the perogies were probably the least tasty food I’ve ever had in Philly. I tried liking them but just couldn’t :( The service was nice and it seemed like a cute spot so I was disappointed that the food was barely eat-able. I was charged $15 for perogies that were listed for $14 on the menu which is always a bad look. No I’m not going to argue over a dollar but customers notice these kind of things. A serving size of fries are gonna set you back $12 after tax and tip so it doesn’t come cheap for such mid food. They were so nice to us so it’s a shame I didn’t like it better. Seems like this place has potential but tonight’s experience wasn’t it.

This place checks off all the boxes. Great staff, great atmosphere and great prices. One of the few places that I will change my schedule or go out of my way for. Today I decided on the Cheesesteak Quesadilla and House Fries served with Spicy Ketchup and Chipotle Mayo. If you are ever in South Philly do not I repeat DO NOT hesitate to stop in! Tell them Bubba sent ya!
