Went for birthday to celebrate. Service could have been better. It seems like they aren't as attentive or caring when they have tip at 18% auto added to the bill. Water came out with a hair in it. Server acted annoyed that we asked for a replacement. They don't have menus anymore it's a tablet to pick favorite and then tell the server what you want from your list. Idk. Just very weird to me.
We've been to Mixto before but never for brunch. They have a great variety of options from traditional eggs Benedict to South American classics. Perfect!
No wait whatsoever for table. The service was perfect and addressed all requests regarding beverages and food💋
This was a very good first experience that could have been great. The food and drinks were fantastic. What shortchanged the evening was three things. First, the music was too loud and not really designed for fine dining. Instead of some nice Latin or Cuban music, it was more of a heavy beat dance sound...which would be fine for a dance club or bar but not really for a restaurant. Second, we ordered a meat heavy dish, and they did not give us a steak knife; instead, we had to cut everything with a butter knife. Lastly, the restaurant automatically adds 18% gratuity to all tables (big or small). I don't like this practice because it means you don't always get great service...our service was okay but not quite up to 18%. If there has to be automatic gratuity, set it low at say 15% to give the waitstaff a reason to stay on their toes.
That Hots its not friendly There is a lot of discrimination to that Hispanic people the service is very bad The waiter never told us his name dirty water glasses and a bad smell, We changed the water twice but it still smelled bad I asked the waiter for the app first and he brought them all together there is no sympathy in that place😠
Got there right when they opened at 10 AM for brunch. Our group had a bloody Mary, a red sangria, and a Bellini to start. All were delicious. We each enjoyed our breakfast as well.
I made a reservation online, indicted that I was looking to make the lunch special for a promotion, a birthday, and an anniversary. Nothing was asked, commented, no congrats, no Happy Birthday, no Happy Anniversary, no can we get you a bottle NOTHING.
In fact, we were put in a tiny space where we sat shoulder to shoulder, I had to ask to be moved to a bigger table so we could eat comfortably.
The food, however, was great.

Called ahead for a table and was told they set one aside. We got there shortly, and there were no tables. They sat us at the bar and then sent us to a table after 10 minutes. The line around us had many (predominantly white) parties behind us. Sat for 30 minutes without getting my order taken, while many other parties WITHOUT reservations were seated and got their food. It took an HOUR to receive 1 shrimp mofongo with a side of maduros. And by that time people at the back of the line had finished theirs. My order was missing the maduros so I came back for them. The manager attributed this to being “busy” did not really apologize or offer anything for the great inconvenience, but no one else had to wait nearly this long. The first time I dined here last fall, I had a great experience but today I was so dissatisfied that I will never come back. & only 7 pieces of shrimp! Very disappointed

Food could use some more flavor.
Tremendous staff. Fun lively. Great pitchers of margaritas and mojito (yes, pitchers of mojitos!)

Kids liked their food. The iPad menu going to every single person was tricky to navigate. Felt like menu wasn’t accessible. Fries were good. Kids liked their pancakes, creamy chicken, rice. Adults didn’t care for the chicken wrap or other food too much. Food was pretty bland which surprised me. If I was out with the kids I’d return but not for an adult only meal.

I used to LOVE this place. I went back for the first time. The food was fast. Reasonable. The drink was 5 star quality. And then I saw several mice running around. The mice looked very comfortable around people. No hiding themselves. When I said something to 2 of the staff, the response was "yah, we know its a problem, there have been inspectors out here every day. We think the mice are coming from under the door because it's cold outside. I'm truly grossed out.

Music was super loud for 5pm dinner. I have food allergies which is typically easy to navigate in any Latina type cuisine. I was told 2 completely different things regarding shard fryers and my gluten allergy. The waiter told me it was safe but told my spanish speaking family member that it wasn't safe. So naturally I didn't not trust them and was stuck eating an over priced, sub-par salad that came out after everyone else's dish. No reason for a simple salad to take longer than crab legs , mofongo or any other entre dish. Extremely disappointed with the experience here. I left very hungry because they couldn't send out a chef to talk with me about shared fryers. Very disappointed.

I don't get it at all. The food is perfunctory. It was in no way worth $440. $150 MAYBE. Wow.
