Visited Philly for the annual Philadelphia Flower Show and stopped into the Reading Market afterwards for a bite to eat. My two girlfriends and I are familiar with this yearly ritual of trying to secure a location to sit down and enjoy a meal during the rush of visitors to the area. This year we found Molly Malloy's and inquired about a table. We were told 15 minutes and gave our name to the receptionist. A party of 4 was sat in a matter of minutes and in a short time we were lead to a high top corner table to relax and enjoy a delicious lunch. The open style pub is bustling with people everywhere and quite exciting. The staff is friendly and quick to please. We ordered standard food and drink and enjoyed it thoroughly. I got a cheese burger that had two patties perfectly prepared, a large portion of melted cheese pickles and crunchy chips as a side. One friend ordered the tomato grill cheese sandwich and devoured it. And my other friend had the burger as well and said her choice was perfect as well. We ordered sodas and water to drink and enjoyed each other's company. We chatted briefly with the table right next to us, they all had very positive things to say both about the food and experience in general. We will definitely head to this restaurant next year and look forward to possibly coming in another time or two!
Vegetarian options: The grilled cheese and tomato sandwich was terrific.

Excellent service. Excellent food. Reasonable prices!
Parking: Located very close to the convention center inside The Reading Terminal Market.
Kid-friendliness: Personally, not so much. It’s a bar atmosphere and noisy.
Wheelchair accessibility: Because it’s so cramped and crowded, I wouldn’t think so.

The food and drinks were very well prepared. Friendly and knowledgeable staff! My dream of visiting Philadelphia is coming true, exceeding my expectations. I was served by Amanda, a helpful, smiling and quick person. I recommend everyone to visit this place 😊😊

When I tell you I use to love this place! The location convenient the drinks are not bad. Food good. But service has went down!! Now, I don’t usually assume but the young lady bartender I feel is very prejudice against black ppl. I’ve been a bartender/server manager for over 10 years. So I know when someone is doing something on purpose. I was there yesterday, when I tell you this lady deliberately tried her best to ignore me , and succeeded. I watch her the whole time. I know it was busy because of the flower show. But it’s sad that I had to ask the ppl next to me(who were white), if they could get her attention because she only seemed to be serving selective ppl. Also this is not my first time I’ve observed this behaviour with the young women. I have been observing her for quite some time. I don’t if she’s just over being a bartender , over worked, or whatever but that’s no excuse to be prejudice, rude and selective. My advice? Either change professions, change your facial expression, or change that selective attitude. I will say the young man who was bartending along side her was in the same predicament and he handle himself very professionally.

I went here got a cheesesteak which was mid but good. I also sat down for a drink I asked for the drink menu COMPLETELY unaware that all they sell was beer. I was under the assumption that they had other mixed alcoholic drinks available, the bar tenders didn’t even explain to me the menu or what comes in the drink , when I called the bar tender over (black guy ) I told him that I don’t drink beer , he snatched my cup poured the beer out and walked off . He didn’t ask me if I wanted anything else they did not try to accommodate me in any way. I then asked the (white lady ) the other bartender that was there today ( Sunday ) could she come to me when she gets a chance because I was going to ask her more about the drink menu. She declined to come to me claiming she was busy but I watched her and she took 5 more orders from her kind that was standing at the bar when I was there before them . The Customer service is very poor here ! And the bartender who had the attitude because I said I don’t drink beer he was walking around with his nose turned as tight as his pants ! He needs to fix it or be fired.

A hidden gem within reading terminals busy market!
I ordered a cheesesteak on a gluten free bun and asked for fried on a separate plate for my toddler. It came out on the same plate and the woman running orders was distraught but it was quickly rectified by her our waitress and the chefs in back. Phenomenal service for those with gluten issues.
And the gentleman host upfront helped get us into a table that accommodated our toddler in a stroller along with a party of 7 and I think a party of 5 directly after!
Amazing teamwork and the food was amazing! Will definitely recommend to anyone who wants a quick delicious meal downtown.

The thining haired waitress with the bunt tattoo was super rude other than that the beer was decent
My husband and I both ordered Philly cheesesteak sandwiches with carmelized onions. Absolutely phenomenal! I had mine on gluten free bread and it was delicious and filling!

Such a fun place to eat delicious food! Egg and cheese biscuit and homemade pop tarts are the way to go. Lots of great people watching and everyone was friendly. Overall we had an awesome experience when we chose this place while browsing the market!

I visited Molly Malloy's on October 16, 2024. My waiter was Jeremy C. and he was wonderful, very kind and helpful. I had the Cashew French Onion Dip as an appetizer; what an excellent dish!! I had the Vegan Tahini Caesar Salad which was delicious and large for me. I would recommend that you try this restaurant in Reading Terminal.

Went here after the car show, to finally try one of their pop tarts and it was really good. Fluffy and full of flavor I had lemon meringue but I think they rotate flavors all the time, wish I could get one if each flavor. Reading Terminal is always busy but they move pretty fast here, and everything others ordered looked good. #dessert #food #poptart #dining

It’s been 3 years since I have been to Molly Malloy’s, and this spot still comes up in conversations for me. Every time I hear about a friend going to Philly, I tell them they have to stop by for their weekly pop tarts.
It is my mission to come back one day for a 76ers game, and then stop by for a pop tart. I will see you again soon!
