Belgian beer and Belgian atmosphere! Tasty Belgian Mussels and grass-fed beef and vegan burgers with Belgian cheeses. Amazing variety of brews on tap and bottled. Even has my favorite Trappist Rochefort 8! 😋

Best beer in the US. Incredible flavor, and dangerously smooth. Absolutely must visit.

The Lion's Mane mushroom patty was fantastic, complimented by a great sauce on a bed of greens. The Monk's burger was good quality, but I would explore different menu options next time. Monk's offers a selection of high-quality quest beers, the most I've seen under one roof. While there, a few reps from companies came in, and I got to hear some of the business side of their conversations. The attention to details and specifications while also being adventurous was great to hear from such an iconic Philadelphia restaurant.

It is a bit tight. However, they have beers that are not commonly found.

Each person in our party got a different entree and beer. It was all amazing. Good portions. Fresh food. I had the steak frites salad and it was phenomenal. The beer selection was like none other. I will definitely recommend and return next time I’m in town.

I'm only giving three stars instead of four because monks is not really a place for vegan dinner. As much as it's a place for fantastic beer selection (best in Philly by far) and they do have some vegan foods. Their vegan cheese steak is fairly authentic in that it's not the most exciting thing, but it's nice to chomp on while enjoying some exotic beers with friends. Nothing bad, just nothing great. That said, if you are into beers that I promise you've never tried, and just want something to eat without it having to be phenomenal, this is the *perfect* place. Get there early or late. It is always full by 6:30.
I had an incredible time here and was unbelievably surprised at how fantastic the selection was and the service as well. Very happy could not recommend more this is an absolute must see if you're in the Philly area do not miss this opportunity to take some of the most incredible beers from all over the world

It’s always a treat to stop at Monks during our annual Philadelphia trip for a meal of mussels and beer. They have three different mussel recipes, all of which are excellent, and dozens if not hundreds of varieties of beer.
