Morimoto Reviews
My evening at Morimoto‘s will be the best memory of my visit to Philadelphia! If I was a local, I’d be in to have their Wasabi Watercress Caesar salad at least once a week. Brilliant! Service was excellent, all the food was lovely, and the restaurant itself, with its soft jewel-tone colors and wave-like forms, was a delight to be in.
The Omakase is a must! So is the black cod 🤌🏾
Unfreaking-real!!! Elisa M Hoffman and I could not be happier with this AMAZING birthday experience. Of course being huge foodies we were not going to pass up the opportunity to visit one of the most famous and admired chefs restaurants. What we didnt expect was a world class experience and the nicest, most attentive staff i've EVER seen. Morimoto is a renowned restaurant that offers an exceptional dining experience. The service is prompt and attentive, with knowledgeable staff providing excellent recommendations. The food is outstanding, with highlights such as the tableside-prepared yellow tail fried rice and the delicious Wagyu Beef cooked on the hot stone. The pork dumplings are also noted as being over the top. The atmosphere is great, making it a popular choice for celebrations, including birthdays and anniversaries. Many guests find the food to be more authentic Japanese than other places in Philadelphia. While some items may seem pricey, they are often considered good value. Morimoto consistently delivers a memorable experience, whether in Hawaii or Philadelphia. Diners appreciate the option of enjoying a cocktail in the lounge area while waiting for their meal, making the visit enjoyable from the start. Recent reviews mention that the food is amazing as always, with great servers and a cool atmosphere. Some guests highlight the hot stone Wagyu, which melts in the mouth and makes for a fun experience, and the spicy tuna crispy rice, which is fresh and perfectly balanced with heat. The crab fried rice with broth on the side is praised for being hot, seasoned well, and packed with king crab. Sushi rolls such as shrimp tempura, California, and eel & avocado are enjoyed, with the California roll being especially recommended. The fiery flourless chocolate cake dessert, with flaming rum poured over a chocolate dome revealing miso caramel ice cream, is described as delicious. The restaurant’s interior is beautiful, with changing lighting, and the staff is friendly and professional. Overall, Morimoto provides a memorable dining experience suitable for various occasions.
