While the whiting fish I had was cooked well it lacked no flavor and seasoning.
The Mac and Cheese was okay but I definitely had better on both items.
The yams was the most flavorful of the three that I ordered.
You would have to be really bad to mess up yams.
If they add some more personality to the fish they can really hit home with the taste.

Placed an order today via Uber Eats. Got my food fairly quickly. Ordered a large whiting platter. I thought it was strange how fast I got this order. It was not good at all. Literally had no seasoning to it. If I like bland fish, this would be my go to spot.

Just Thursday of last week I decided to try out Mr. Hooks store and OMG they have Okra, fried Okra at that! The wings, the cheesecake, seafood salad wasn't bad I could have ordered another one, the flounder was it was great, I'm probably going to give the Mac and Cheese another round. It was great

Hey Guys its your favorite certified review girl here. So i tried Mr. HOOK today and it was ok. Mediocre, i was not too impressed i had fried fish and scallops. Ive noticed that some of these places have a hard time keeping scallops fresh. However , I believe you should try for yourself. I review places alot so i have pretty expensive taste. Lets get to the customer service, the customer service was soo awesome that i hate to complain about the food. This is a ok spot. However, it does not go on my list of top 10 seafood places in west Philly.

I’ve never had food that smelled and looked average to even taste worse once it’s in your mouth. First, Mac n Cheese should not be on the menu if you can’t make it. I didn’t even finish the spoof full that I tried. Threw it away. There is no reason for the Mac to taste worse than Kraft box Mac. The Crab cake? Sad excuse of a crab cake and I believe they used imitation crab and made it flatter than normal. Who wants to eat overcharged fake seafood ? Last but not least, the flounders batter was so thin but easily the best thing I had on the plate. Please DO NOT GO HERE if you want seafood cooked the right way. If you do come here only get fried fish. I’ve tried other things from my friend’s order and the only thing good about this place is the fried fish. Sides are trash. Fried catfish nuggets are actually really good.
