Mt Airy Breakfast & Lunch

The food was solid but I will not be returning for two reasons.

1. I do not know what anything costs. The menus are not accurate and they have handwritten signs all over the establishment warning you that prices reflected in the menu aren’t accurate. What?? Please offer that visibility
2. Nothing wrong with cash only spots but the ATM in the restaurant had dispensed counterfeit $20 bills. My wife took out cash as I didn’t take out enough cash so she withdrew extra $$ and we didn’t realize the $20 was fake until we were trying to use the money elsewhere and they flagged it as FAKE. Whaaat??? Never in my life has this happened to me before and I discourage anyone considering this place.

Both servers working the counter were pleasant but the woman running the cash register was dismissive (to me) and rude to the servers, customers, and Dashers. She seemed to be the manager. Everyone around her seemed to be prioritizing the customers except her. Then she changed my bill after the server gave me my payslip resulting the server receiving less tip from my check. She’s going to lose staff and customers if she doesn’t learn to be more pleasant. But overall a nice diner like atmosphere and food was good. I ordered a waffle with bananas and walnuts. Coffee was decent too.

My granddaughter took me here for a birthday brunch. The food was delicious. She had the Belgian waffle with bananas and walnuts, and I had French toast. We were very pleased. The server was fantastic. She was very friendly and polite.
We will definitely be going back!

Busy Sunday morning, for both dine in and take out. We were able to get a table right away, 4 of us. Food was ok, reviews make it seem way better than what it really was. My plate had something blue and sticky stuck to it. I had eggs and toast, nothing blue so I'm not sure if the plate was even clean. My daughter loved her waffles! Potatoes tasted stale. We gave it a try but if ever in the area again, we will definitely try another place. Service was excellent though!

I normally go here on Sundays, cash only ,do not have to wait to be seated, find the open spot and server will come to you. Awesome breakfast every time I come definitely recommend.❤️❤️❤️💯💯💯

My fav breakfast spot on this street. Always A1. I love the waitresses and the owners are pretty friendly too.

Fish is underappreciated for breakfast.
But frying has never gone wrong in the history of humanity.

Pancakes are amazing!! Sometimes I wake up thinking about them and absolutely have to abide by my stomach. Other items are hit or miss… sometimes the eggs feel watery and the grits can be flavorless. But sometimes they’re really good too! You never know. But the pancakes are always top tier.

This spot as well as its other located on Wayne ave should not have a score lower than 5 stars. They make the best breakfast in our area in my opinion. Whether you let them do their thing or you want it prepared specifically both options are greeted with effective service and a pleasant demeanor. Dem ladies hustle!!!
