Stopped in for takeout. Patty melt was tasty but I was very disappointed with my tossed salad. It was large with lots of lettuce but the lettuce was a little brown on the edges. It came with one slice of tomato, 1 slice of cucumber , and 2 slices of onion. Basically a bowl of lettuce for $7.00.
This is a really cool hole in the wall kind of local bar you want to come back to every week in your neighborhood. They have very good Italian food which is so unique for a bar setting like this in my opinion. We got the meatballs which were above average but our entrees stole the show. Branzino? Perfection. My wife’s tagliatelle? Life-changing. Pretty sure there’s a Michelin-star chef chained in the basement. Best bang for my buck in Philly—thanks to our NICU nurse (shout out CHOP East Wing) for the tip. Cash only, so hit an ATM and prepare to be blown away.
