They literally gave me vegetable fried rice with no vegetables bc I asked for no onion, when they “fixed” it all they did was add chopped lettuce like what tf. There was no broccoli no carrots no peas nothing. Clearly scammed me out a couple extra dollars. And the shrimp in the rolls wasn’t cleaned.
If my recent visit was an example of the way New Canton does business then this place is CRIMINALLY underrated on Maps at the moment. The food was fast, it was cheap, and it was damn good.I'm not usually very enthusiastic about Americanized-style Chinese takeout, but I had a bite of some General Tso chicken that I had picked up for my husband, and I was pleasantly surprised with how much I enjoyed it. Significantly better quality than similarly priced Chinese takeout in the area that we had tried previously.Update: Second trip to New Canton. The General Tso wasn't quite as tasty as last time, so it appears that the consistency isn't 100%. Although the sauce was not as flavorful, the chicken was still cooked well, so all in all not bad. The house lomein gets a thumbs up as well. Even though the flavor wasn't quite as fabulous this time around, the cost vs. value for this place still makes it a solid choice for a quick bite in my book.
