Great place. You have to go there when there are event upstairs. This place is 1:1 engagement with the staff. Had fun chatting with The big bearded guy. (Joe if I remember correctly)
They do offer tour of the facility.
The old fashion during happy hour was delicious. I left with couple bottles. It
Love their products but the mixologist was super rude. He said, "You seem apprehensive, there's the door." to my friend.
It was very quiet the night me and my friend went there. The host was awesome and super friendly. Educated us some on bourbon and gins. We had one drink which was surprisingly good for a locally made to Philly bourbon and rye blend. I will def come again and buy some of the bourbon they make. Also it's a very cool spot for parties in which they will entertain.
Took the tour and the guide was great and knowledgeable. Highly recommend!!!!
We had a fantastic time yesterday at the new Liberty Distillery. Parking was easy, and finding the place was straightforward - just look for the brick building, walk up the stairs, and you're there. Opting for the tour was a great decision; we enjoyed the intimate vibe and learned a lot about the history of whiskey/bourbon, including seeing the pot stills in the basement. My only minor complaints revolve around wanting more clarity and organization within the distillery itself. While the laid-back atmosphere is fine, for a company in the bourbon world, a tighter ship would be ideal. This place has enormous potential and I hope they can recognize it as they grow and make changes. For instance, moving the tour bottles out of the sun(sun soaked :( whiskey) , using the back bar as an additional register (not only for tours) for convenience, and creating an atmosphere that encourages people to linger. Currently, it feels like the primary focus is on making purchases and leaving, rather than fostering a welcoming environment where customers want to stay longer. Lastly Their 15-year offering is fantastic and a must-try for any bourbon enthusiast, despite being the most expensive.Still overall a great experience
Ordered a flight of spirits (3): 8 yr bourbon whiskey aged in oak, Scotch whiskey distilled in Scotland, and gin. All were excellent! Scotch is a great value at $31.99 a bottle. Staff person (sorry I didn't get his name) gave a lot of background knowledge and taught us how to drink a 100+ proof spirit. Would love to return for a cocktail class! We brought food from Pasha's, just a short walk from NL.
Stopped in to pick up my online order, ended up with a highly detailed whiskey tasting experience in the warm and inviting bottle shop, with an affable, knowledgeable gentleman named Devon. I feel quite prepared to explain the unique, 100% local whiskey I picked out for holiday stocking stuffers.
We stopped in to kill an hour while waiting for friends. Pretty cool spot but after a couple flights of whiskey, we couldn't find one that we really liked. Would still stop back to try a few more if I'm in the area.
My favorite spot for a local whiskey: Human Robot. Lunch from Herman's on the Haus, and a diet Coke with Whiskey
Picked up some PA spirits yesterday. The building was a stable. Stalls still intact. Very cool. I didn't get pics.
